  1. Good to see more and more of that area cleared out. The sooner they demo that block, the sooner they can start building!!! Hopefully they'll put up another webcam somewhere else in the area so we can monitor the progress.
  2. I drove by Perk Park yesterday evening and looks like it's still under construction. It actually doesnt look much different than the pics posted above from 10-13-10. Does anyone know if the park is currently being worked on or have a timeline on when the construction, etc will be completed?? I'm hoping that it just stopped because of the winter weather and there werent some other issues that caused things to stop.
  3. I think it's because some of the images that are posted a few replies above are wider than the screen and require you to scroll right and left to view them. That then causes the responses below the images to run into one long line.
  4. I'm not completely sold on a restaurant/nightclub being "seasonal". Shooters does the majority of their business during the summer months, but I'm pretty sure that they're open year round. I just think that with everything else being built up down there on the East Bank, the last thing people want to see is a building with a sign up saying "Closed for Winter"!!!
  5. Thanks Cleburger. I thought I saw something about the 2011 Marc's Great American Rib Cook-Off & Music Festival being down there again this year, and that's usually sometime in the early summer, so I figured that it'd still be around. But looking for that article again, I cant find the page that I had previously looked at. It'll be a shame to loose the Amphitheater. But at least there's still the Nautica Pavilion and who knows another one may go up somewhere in the area as development continues.
  6. Is the disassembling of the Tower City Amphitheater going to be permanent?? I thought that, even when the permanent casino was built behind Tower City, the amphitheater would still be there.
  7. Thanks for the pics hubz1124!!! It's nice to see the progress down there, things are moving along pretty good!!!
  8. I downloaded the PDF of the presentation and looked it over. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with what they have planned for the MM & Convention Center site. It's nice to finally see some of the plans in a little bit more detail.
  9. Yeah, the CIO\EVP could have (should have) worded that a bit differently, but at least Kimpton is still moving forward with plans to put a hotel in Cleveland. They could have decided not to put a hotel here because "Cleveland isnt quite the market for a four-star Kimpton Hotel". I'll take a 3.5 star hotel instead of an empty building any day!! Just start the renovations!!
  10. Thanks for the update KJP!!! Hopefully there wont be too many issues working the financing out in this economy, etc. I'm looking forward to seeing the work get started on this building.
  11. Does anyone have any updates on the Schofield Building or an updated construction timetable?? I just thought that after being approved for that tax credit (which happened around the middle of last year), there would have been some kinda work done. :wtf: Thanks.
  12. Yea, similar info on Google Maps. But at least they're updated to after the demo!!!
  13. Thanks, I've been watching the discussion here for a while and am glad to be a member now. Yeah, I was down in that area a few weeks ago and didnt see much. Was just hoping there had been some noticeable progress in the past 2-3 weeks. Cant wait to watch things develop as we go thru spring and summer.
  14. It looks like the next couple of years are gonna be an exciting time for development here in the Cleveland area!!! Does anyone have current pics of the Flats East Bank construction??? I've been looking around online and the majority of the pics that I found were from a couple of years ago during the tearing down of the old Flats buildings. I realize that right now there probably wont be too much to look at, on the construction site, but I'd still like to see what's been done since in the past couple of months. Thanks.
