I agree. The 4 stories might have been a bit much to ask, but at least give us 3 stories!!! With it only being 2, it looks unfinished IMHO.

Especially in the winter (or even summertime when it's raining), it was nice to be able to just go down to the food court for a quick lunch. Didn't need to get your coat, walk out side somewhere to get food and then come back. Was a nice plus to be able to get lunch without worrying about the weather.

It is a bit sad that it took the RNC to get some of these things done around the city. But at least we'll be able to benefit from the upgrades, fixes, repairs, cleanings, etc after the RNC has come and gone.

Not sure if it's official yet?? But after Friday being able to be out there walking around w/ drinks, even up and down the boardwalk. I just figured that the open container area had been passed.

So, this past Friday the wife and I stopped down to the "Flat Out Fridays" on the East Bank. And I didn't realize that the open container area had been passed for the FEB. It was nice to be able to be there outside, walking around, enjoying the music and having a few drinks. Another win for the East Bank!!! Later in the evening, on the way back to our car, we also stopped in for a quick appetizer and drink at the East End. I had driven by the place a few times and was glad that we stopped in. I was just getting ready to post the same pic of the square!!! Nice to see the green grass. Next I'm looking forward to some leaves on those trees!!!

I totally agree about the size of the trees, glad they're as big as they are. I'm looking forward to them with some leaves and also to see the square with some of the grass on the lawns.

Crazy how that area looks completely different with buildings there instead of the empty lots!!! Hopefully we'll see it again soon with buildings along the streets!!!

Unveiling scheduled Thursday at Aloft Hotel for Main Avenue Bridge Underpass Improvement Design CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Chicago-based urban design firm of PORT Urbanism on Thursday will unveil a detailed plan to improve the shadowy, confusing zone under the Main Avenue Bridge that separates the Historic Warehouse District from the new Flats East Bank development on the Cuyahoga River. The plan calls for new signs, pavement striping, plantings, seating areas and sculptural lighting elements. It will be presented to the general public at the Aloft Hotel Riviera Ballroom, 1111 W. 10th Street, in a program from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, the Downtown Cleveland Alliance announced. A few weeks ago I was dropping off a friend at The 9 for a New Years party and I got a couple pics of The Schofield across the street. Just getting around to posting them now.

Wow, that was a nice little drive down "Memory Lane". Would have liked to jump back a few more years and see it before all the buildings were knocked down!!! Still a nice little memory though. We were just down in the FEB at Crop Rocks this weekend with some friends from out of town. Most of them didn't realize what all has been done down there. They all loved the area. It was nice to see it busy, even with it as cold as it was there were still people out walking around. Cant wait to spend some more time down there this spring / summer!!!

I cant wait to see it with some grass and leaves on the trees!!!

Rental townhouses planned for slice of Avenue District site in downtown Cleveland CLEVELAND, Ohio – A downtown Cleveland resident hopes to build 16 rental townhomes on a vacant strip of land across the street from his house, in a project meant to fill a gap born of the real estate bust. Brent Zimmerman and his wife, Cary, bought their townhouse at the Avenue District in late 2007, just before the housing market collapsed. Now Zimmerman, a hedge fund executive, plans to tackle a small slice of the unfinished neighborhood. In June, a company managed by Zimmerman paid $375,000 for a 0.4-acre property between Superior and Rockwell avenues along East 15th Street.
