I believe those are the old Boblo Island boats. Boblo Island is a defunct island amusement park that you had to take the ferry to reach. http://www.boblosteamers.com/history.html

- Favorite City Street Names?
Baseline Road (8 Mile west of Detroit) Telegraph Ave. (Oakland, Calif.) and Telegraph Road (Metro Detroit) I'm cool with numbered streets, but dislike numerical ones, like DC's.- Los Angeles, California
- Ithaca, New York
^ I wouldn't sell Asheville so short... Both beautiful places, but with the gorges/waterfalls right in town and the large lake near by, Ithaca may have the edge geographically. I preferred Asheville as a 'city'.- Ithaca, New York
^ Funny thing is, I was only there for 5 hours! Where did you end up going? Cornell is a good school (In the Architecture and Planning fields anyway)!- Ithaca, New York
- Cumberland, Maryland
Great city and great pics!- Binghamton, New York
Yeah, the population is just over 40k in a metro of 250k. I wouldn't say the town is thriving by anymeans, but seemed to offer more and had a decent amount of activity when compared to Ohio's second tier cities - Lorain, Elyria, Springfield, Hamilton, ect. The building stock was an awesome surprise, even if run down.- Barnesville, Ohio
Nice structures indeed! Looking good.- CLEVELAND - Making an observation
If I ever get back I need to check out the observation deck.. When I was younger I climbed the stairs to the top only to find a locked door with high voltage warnings... Of course all the doors locked behind me, so I had to climb all the way down to get out.- Portsmouth Revisited
Great shots as usual! Thanks.- Binghamton, New York
- Above Louisiana
Yeah, most of the pictures are from the Atchafalaya basin. The spillway pictured is the Old River Control system, just north of the Morganza Spillway. The Morganza was opened to relieve the pressure on the Old River Control, and looks very similar, albeit longer overall.- Above Louisiana
No skyline shots here.. All taken west of the Mississippi River in the state of Louisiana. Shot about one week ago.- South Central O-hi-Ah
Nice tour!- Centerburg, Ohio
Awhh. I loved it.- Off Topic
Check out simtropolis.com for lots of cool downloads. I've been trying out Cities XL2011, it's interesting. ^Nice model btw. Someone modeled a bunch of Detroit buildings, I think it's called the Barry Sanders Project. - Favorite City Street Names?
