The term "Gateway Quarter" is on the way out. It was used as a way to market OTR without saying OTR. Now, Over-the-Rhine is preferable to Gateway Quarter as 3CDC's portfolio of listed properties encompasses areas far beyond 12th and Vine.

Overheard on Main Street from an older woman this weekend: "This is all new to me, I'm like a kid in a candy store."

^It's going in on Vine right across from Kaze - near where Eli's is going in and where PetWants is.

Some remnants of the old Fairview incline are discernible and the park has a lot of stone walls built by the WPA. There is also an old wine cellar that is sealed.

The Great American Grand Prix has a nice ring to it.

^Indeed. The reason the exterior renderings haven't been released is because it hasn't been finalized. They haven't agreed on an exterior treatment yet. For the right amount the owners of the plum st site would be happy to sell.

I have a friend that leases space in Carew. He said that he tried to renew his lease and was told that they werent renewing leases. Plus after a certain point they may be able to buy out leases. ...so what does Qualls look like again? That is not good news.

If Duke stalls indefinitely, will all construction/utility relocation continue uninterrupted through the completion of the streetcar's first phase (The Banks to Findlay Market)? What about the second phase up Vine Street hill? I'm hoping for a quick resolution to the Duke issue but in case that doesn't happen I would like to know how the streetcar project will be impacted.

^probably not because fire code requires two means of egress. BTW, fixing fire escapes is expensive since so few companies do that kind of work.

Glad to hear this is moving forward.

Agreed, but I will miss it from an aesthetic point of view. It was a beautiful structure that imparted a sense of urban grit. I remember staring at it in awe en route to Reds games as a child.
