It's in Over-the-Rhine (OTR) http://www.facebook.com/OverTheRhine which is a big historic neighborhood that's in the midst of a massive revitalization. I could recommend a lot of places and neighborhoods, but will only mention a few in OTR: The Lackman - http://www.facebook.com/thelackman MOTR - http://www.facebook.com/pages/MOTR/121361524549409 Iris Book Cafe http://www.facebook.com/pages/Iris-Book-Cafe/169729995076 and Joe's Diner on Sycamore next to Neons http://www.yelp.com/biz/joes-diner-on-sycamore-cincinnati I also highly recommend downtown and Mt. Adams as areas to check out.

What's the use of depoliticizing the process if it's allowed be politicized? I guarantee COAST wrote Sen. Shannon Jones' amendment for her. That was COAST trump card and now we have to make sure the streetcar is built and expanded. Never, never, never give up! Is this legal? Precedented? Are there state laws aimed at specific developments in specific cities? No money for a bridge over the blah river in Toledo, no money for a right turn lane on Main @ 7th in Youngstown. That seems bizarre & unconstitutional, it's certainly unethical

OTR's lost about 50% since it's peak. It might have lost less because so many of the buildings were bigger and multi-family. That's conjecture though. Also, the destruction of the nearby Kenyon-Barr neighborhood probably sated much of the area's need for dehumanizing public housing.
