Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
^Gordan Square is a district, Detroit Shoreway is a neighborhood. E. 4 is a street and Gateway is a District so the parallel doesn't really match up... (Not that I necessarily disagree, just think that clarification should be made)

Cleveland Heights: Development and News
There is actually a Sketchers at Beachwood Place and one at Aurora Outlets. It would be interesting if they put another one on the East Side. Ever since they evolved from those idiotic "goo" sneakers they had when I was a kid to a more functional and casual adult brand, they're actually not too shabby of a retail store. I used to see them at all the upper-class malls in South Florida when I lived there.

Cleveland: Downtown: Jack Cleveland Casino - Phase 2
^Love your optimism! Almost wish there was a "like" button. Now let's hope with all that time they address all these problems and come up with the best solutions, not the easiest solutions. I want to be able to take a walk down the boardwalk that stretches from FEB through the "Metropark" along the casino to hop on board the Cuyahoga Valley RR and get some Swensons! :-D

Cleveland: Downtown: Jack Cleveland Casino - Phase 2
According to Joe Marinucci's latest (two Fridays ago): they will be doing engineering/environmental studies of raising everything up over there for the next 18 months, then 12 months of actual construction to stabilize slope and raise something for the casino to stand on, then another 18 months for actual casino build out. It will be a process but it'll get done.

^,^^ While I love that we have 2+ (I suppose I should be included as well) APAer's in the room, that's not completely fair. Thursday is trivia night at Becky's so while Team APA was there (we got 2nd!), there were many other teams too. It's always packed on Thursdays. That being said come to Thirsty Thursdays!

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
With the relatively non-existent traffic on Prospect, the Pedestrian-friendly crossings all along Euclid, and the relatively short lights on Chester.... there is absolutely 0 problem with crossing the streets at CSU as they are now. I don't think I've had to wait to cross a street in months.

Lyndhurst: Acacia Country Club
^^ The metroparks really won't have the money without us passing their levy again (not that it's not passed before but there is always worry). They definitely do have their focus on connecting the lakefront now, trying to bring parks into the inner city. That was one of the reasons they weren't involved in Oakwood. That being said I personally don't want another stupid shopping center! At least make it something fun like a Medieval Times :-D (sorry, I'm in the mood for some jousting).

anyone been to the new mac n' cheese place? I've been solely in Levin all summer and haven't ventured far enough down Euclid (outside the Healthline at least) to notice it.

East Cleveland: Development and News
^Is that the east side of Cleveland between UC and Superior or the city of East Cleveland? East Cleveland begins at E. 125 north Lake View Cemetery so I'm a bit confused as to the scope of the area being talked about.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
I think that was from Frankie J's Lakefront Plan. I believe they recommended making the terminal a restaurant or some other public use to have it link with the public use of the pier. Can't remember fully.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
IMO, if RTA had the money and the demand to operate all night they would.... they don't seem like evil to me. In fact, almost every experience I've had with RTA has been great and I use RTA like Shaq uses the phrase "you know," but they can't do everything with the budget we give them. I do think maybe a last call train for each line would be cool though, leaving around 2:30 so the drunkards from WHD, E4, and the casino can get home without drunk driving/taxi

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Its good they had a nice time and good experience! But those infamous ticket machines... ha! Lol but you know the thing is those ticket machines aren't that hard to work or figure out it tells you step by step. Could it still be simplified? Yes, but it isn't as hard to use as people make it out to be. I read somewhere on UO that RTA is looking at other ATM's (Automated Ticket Machines) especially the ones in Boston which are supposedly one of the easiest ones to use. (correct me if I'm wrong) I agree, while the ticketing machine isn't the easiest to use, it's definitely not the hardest either. I was just in LA and we decided to try out the subway, the transit policeman ended up just giving us all-day passes because we were having so much trouble with the machine. RTA's might not be too simple, but at least it walks you through the process. And experienced RTA treveler's can aid the "helpless foreigner" out, bolstering our Midwest hospitality :-D

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
RTA owns the property, builds and maintains the stations and provides the service. The police presence is cooperative. I'll report this one now. Thanks Thanks!!! Does Shaker share money from tickets with the RTA or does that solely fill their coffers? I feel they're getting away with murder (I know quite a few people who have been ticketed overnight [including me] not knowing that there are only a few spots that permit it) ticketing travelers but not maintaining what the policewoman stated was "a municipal lot." No where is there a sign saying no parking at unmarked spots, and if you enter the station going westbound before Green you never see the "overnight parking here" spots. If Shaker is going to be cryptic in their signage to make a buck or two they should at least share it with the RTA.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Out of curiosity, is RTA or the city of Shaker Heights responsible for maintaining the Shaker and Green rapid station? I feel since Shaker is the one that writes tickets and makes money off overnight parkers it should be their responsibility. I've been wondering because there has been glass scattered in one of the parking spots for about 6 weeks now and I imagine the Shaker police have passed it numerous timesaver done nothing. The stairwell on the north side also hasn't been lit for just as long. Please note I'm not complaining, just wondering and pointing things out :-)

I don't think it's as much weight issues as just water infrastructure issues limiting fountains on the roof. They do have a water feature planned for Mall C as far as I am aware.

Cleveland: University Circle: Centric Development (formerly Intesa)
I think it would be cool if they could make the top of the garage green space, and elongate it over the tracks to be a "High Line"esque gateway between UC and Little Italy
