Cleveland: Hotel Development
We don't, I believe it's 43 rooms and we didn't add any hotels under 50 rooms, we decided not to go the Bed & Breakfast Route. Might add it to the 7-county because some of the other counties have only Bed & Breakfasts.

My brother and I put this together really quickly, we're currently working on a 7-county version. Hope to be able to add a Hard Rock Northfield Park as per http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2012/04/northfield_park_owner_hard_roc.html one day!

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Not sure where to put this, but in relation to the Plain Dealer article earlier this week about a Lakefront Metropark. Met with a Metroparks planner last night and they mentioned looking into eventually having a boardwalk go from Rivergate park all the way to the FEB boardwalk.... I feel like something of that caliber can be on par with San Antonio Riverwalk

It's not much but I snapped this picture on way to rapid last night. Looks like some slots across from the Tilted Kilt. The parking garage also has these snazzy blue lights it looks like at night but I couldn't get a good pic of them.

^^^Thanks for posting that article!!! I'm writing a paper on New Urbanism and SmartCode (Duany and Plater-Zyberk's baby) and Steve Litt nailed it right on the head!!!

The Tilted Kilt looked like it was having a sorority party a bit ago when I passed by on way to rapid. Looks like they're getting close to hiring!

South Euclid: Cedar Center
^^ I think it's more in terms of inside... I'm not sure whether the person meant you go up and order type deal like Panera, or if they meant place to go to do work with good wifi and comfy couches and whatnot. I suppose we'll have to wait and see.

South Euclid: Cedar Center
From a reliable insider source I heard the following last night: 1. Coral Co. is the worst developer in the world to work with and is really "grinding the gears" of South Euclid. 2. The Italian restaurant will be "Chipotle style" and "there is one in Columbus." A quick google search led me to http://www.mypiada.com 3. The Bob Evans will be the prototype store for a new Panera-esque model. (Bob Evans was so upset with Coral Co. that they bought the land and started doing everything themselves) 4. The Starbucks will have a drive-thru.

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
Wasn't sure where to put this but I see it as an extension of E. 4. Maybe it's already been posted somewhere else and I'm just missing it but: "More downtown Cleveland apartments planned; housing will fill 5 floors of Rosetta Center" http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2012/03/part_of_rosetta_center_office.html Every time I read a piece by MJM my day gets brighter. Thanks Michelle!!!

^If you're talking about the hats I completely agree! What ever happened to hats?! :-D

Cleveland: Retail News
To change the subject, the entire Higbee's side of the sidewalk outside Tower City was closed today. Is this because they are starting to work on fixing up the sidewalks/etc. before the casino opens, or were they just fixing doors? I'm hoping for the former and think it's more logical since they blocked off everything up to the street...

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
^^^The model he seemed to talk about was still that original plan set forth by GGN with the "activity rooms" (albeit scaled back), and has a "water feature" on mall c. I think thats because MTS is right and it's the only place it will actually be structurally sound.

^So it will just be a prettier newer refurbished Holiday Inn? I can deal with that.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Talked with Tony Coyne the other day, he said they're still trying to get money for the mall (and public square). Said if you know rich people who would like to do naming rights to call him :-)

Definitely not my cup of tea music-wise... but I (IMO sadly) know many people who love Country music here. The menu has 9423 things I'd probably eat though so I'm down, I'll just bring a set of earplugs and get my grind on

In this hypothetical is this May Company garage IN ADDITION to the "Columbia+" garage, or instead of the Columbia+? I feel like the city would have ok'd an initial parking garage in the May Company, like the one seen earlier in this thread, especially if the garage did not include the side fronting Public Square. I think even Gilbert would be hard pressed to get the go-ahead for a second garage there now. I could most definitely be wrong and just hopeful though :-/

^^^I think Moe's might've had a broader base, but Pedro Pedro has almost a cult following from what I've seen, at least in Levin. I didn't realize Moe's was closed though, hope it becomes a Chipotle! Does anyone know if the Subway on 18th is going to close now that the new Subway is open?

^I completely agree with Freethink here. The Maloof family has had more than enough time (decades, really) to at least do the bare minimum and has done nothing. Say what you will about Rock Ohio, I parallel it to this situation: A family on Lexington in one of those big new houses will not be happy with the decrepit abandoned parcel across the way, and will ask the city (or landowner) to invest in it or demolish it. Rock Ohio has a brand new property and it's neighbor is for all intents and purposes an absent landlord. WWRPD? (What would Raymond Pianka Do?)

On or in? Feel like if we have a Ferris wheel it's got to be for the views. Or maybe a Tower of Power type thing?
