Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
^ I have the same problem. On an unrelated note, and I will post this on the Playhouse thread too, did anyone know that the area we've been wondering about for a while between Cowell & Hubbard and Idea Center (not Dwellworks) will hopefully be a CSU art gallery? http://www.csuohio.edu/offices/architect/statusreports/CurrentStatusReport.pdf <-- also has some other cool projects, seems Berkman's getting a new pool

I still really want that Ferris wheel!! I suppose the pier isn't a good place for one though considering an airplane will fly into it every few minutes. Any ideas for Ferris wheel placement?

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
^ I was only in the building once, but last year the interior wasn't so good looking. It also did not fit the "arts" campus very well. I do agree that from the exterior it's one of the most beautiful education structures I can think of.

Cleveland: Downtown: A.J. Celebrezze Federal Building Renovation
In jjames' defense, there is a difference between walking down a corridor like Euclid and walking down to that little corner where there is nothing but city hall and the federal building... the public auditorium isn't used, and the aforementioned buildings are only for government employees so it is a bit out of the way

Cleveland: Random Development and News
My parents actually had a meeting down there a few weeks ago and asked me how to get there. And I told them it was the Huntington Building on 9th, but being silly suburbanites they tried to use their GPS instead and it took them to 200 Public Square. So GPS apparently has gone back to calling it 925 Euclid.... not sure how official that is.

Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
Can they do anything with Staubach since it was bought by Jones Lang LaSalle? Would they hold JLL responsible or the previous partners of Staubach? I don't know anything about the legal system and have no idea how that would work..

Cleveland: Hotel Development
Not trying to be snarky, but: https://www.google.com/search?btnG=1&pws=0&q=hotel+629+euclid+ave+cleveland 4th result down for me: Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cleveland www.candlewoodsuites.com/redirect?path... 16 Google reviews - Write a review - $118▼ 629 Euclid Avenue Cleveland, OH 44114 (216) 443-1000 Clicking the link leads you to the Candlewood Suites - Cleveland/North Olmsted :wtf: Hehe, you said snarky. It does redirect to Candlewood Suites, you're right... but it does say it's North Olmsted too.... I agree with your :wtf: sentiments.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
^really? I'm still getting Holiday Inn when I search it. I was thinking about it and with the Board of Education building being about 400 feet from the new Westin, and next to the convention center, is it possible for a W or St. Regis or other higher end Starwood go in there to compliment the Westin?

Cleveland: Hotel Development
Cause I am officially on Spring Break and am bored, I also consulted expedia.com and have come up with a number around 2,000 (1,993) rooms within 3.5 miles of the airport if you want to include those as well. Not all of them are in Cleveland proper, but I think the airport area should be included in any Cleveland hotel room number.

Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand
As I recall (and I'm too lazy to look it up right now) the people who wanted to develop the Le Meridien were out of California and wished to buy those properties a few years back. According to the planning commission GIS, however, the same people own all those properties (3M LLC et al.). If the properties haven't changed hands and are owned by different companies, what IS going on there? Anyone able to shed some light? I'm really interested in this project as some of you know from when I tried getting into contact with 3M to paint over the old City Year sign in 1001 Euclid.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
I'm confused about that article, does that mean the new YMCA will only have a single half-court? That doesn't bode well for the large proportion of current YMCA members that use the Y for basketball... :-/
