Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
I always loved passing the Cleveland Clinic building in Weston when I lived down there, it reminded me of home. I'm glad to hear they're committed to both here and abroad, maybe we can regain 3rd best hospital or better!

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
I too was thinking it looked a little too "concrete," but hopefully altogether it will look more like they wanted to to look with an everchanging pattern depending on the angle of the sun.. If we see a slightly different building each time we walk by the MM, it might make for a fun spectacle (reminds me of the color changing buildings at Florida International University). Also, the panels might make for a cool place to have some awesome lighting at night and even one of those sweet 3D projection mapping things!!!

Centralized Blog Library
I'm probably just being lazy and there is most likely one of these lists somewhere one Urban Ohio, but I'll ask anyway. Has anyone thought to make a list of Cleveland/Ohio/Great Lakes blogs? I'm thinking Murray Hill-style list (he makes a good list) where it would be easy to access different blogs. I know there are a bunch of UOites with blogs already, and then add some important ones (IMO of course) such as Cleveland Area History, RustWire, GCBL, etc... Does something like that exist yet?

Back on topic though with this! http://www.cleveland.com/dining/index.ssf/2012/02/horseshoe_casino_cleveland_inc.html Corky's at the Casino!!!!!   Three claps from Cleveland's Jewish community. I can't wait to stop here on my way to class (or on way home?) Much more conducive to us RTA kids than Slyman's.

I agree with KJP, one of the coolest (and definitely most unique views) ever taken of the city!!! You win the UO Aweome Pic Award!

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
I remember walking down there right when they began demolition and excavation and there was a large crack in the road. Not sure how they fixed it (or even if they did) but that's what they're referring to. It literally paralleled the entire construction site and I don't know of they knew what caused it.

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
I don't mind a park for the Midtown Area, but is Euclid the best place for it? I suppose if it is done right and people buy into it and develop around the area it might work. I also feel between Stanard Farm, League Park, and various other "green areas" in this area, there's going to be a lot of "pasture." I suppose that goes back to what KJP said about Little House on the Prairie. If they can make it a Perk Park/Public Square type plaza, I'm all for it. Alpaca farmland I think we can do without.

Thanks for the info about Dwellworks. They took down that paneling today, still covered, but not by a giant box.

1512 Euclid as I passed it this afternoon around 1pm. By time I left school around 10:30 tonight, none of the portion fronting Euclid remained except the right-most bit.

I'm actually not sure... it also looks like they just put in new curvy windows on the other side of the plywood, below CUDC. To be truthful, until like 2 weeks ago, I thought that was going to be the restaurant... Anyone know what it is? I also may have just never paid attention to them, maybe those windows have always been there?

IMO, I think this is more of a "let's eat our West Side Market/GLBC/etc." outside at one of those harvest tables than a "let's go sunbathe" park, so the tables and chairs to grass is more fitting I believe.

I did that walk 5 hours ago. 17 blocks of amazing architecture.... Hopefully Cleveland State can add some more amazing architecture to my walk in the future (thought I'd try to get us back on track)

After some simple Google Earth-ing.... the South Garage was not even 700 feet from the Student Center.... It was $680 a semester to park at Miami. They had so much parking that it was just gravel lots where people would park so closely you'd have a new dent every single day. That was the most infuriating article I have ever read, and I feel embarrassed to go to the same school as that editor. If he doesn't want to walk 700 feet, I'm not sure how he plans on getting through life. Maybe he can take the rapid like me :-)

Cleveland: Downtown Aquarium
Of course it's cloudy! We're in Cleveland. I think it will be a bit cloudy at first while the water is fresh and there are dissolved particles in all the new equipment and such. Should clear up over time.
