  1. He's holding a press conference at 230 to discuss, in part, killing the streetcar
  2. It's eerily similar, right down to Cranley telling the city to stop the project before he was elected, just as Kasich told Strickland to stop the 3C project before his election. You all will have to see how this plays out and organize behind the scenes to put an initiative on the ballot should Cranley and council vote to kill the streetcar. Likewise, contractors and the federal governemnt should be alerted to the possibility that the contracts might be cancelled. Exactly. I'm disappointed in a lot of things. Really hoping for a John Schneider post right about now because things are not looking good by any means. "I dont know one republican in Hamilton County that wasn't supporting John Cranley" - Alex Triantifilou (Via Tim Burke)
  3. Cranley "We are going to get out of the streetcar" http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20131105/NEWS0106/311050179 He's not bluffing folks and he has the votes to kill it. It sounds like the only way to even challenge it would be to give them a taste of their own medicine with a ballot initiative
  4. He just said the streetcar is done. He's the new mayor and has a 6-3 anti streetcar council. Smitherman is in charge of pension reform and possibly vice mayor.
  5. Bingo. Referendum time once they vote to kill it
  6. Phase 1A is not fine.
  7. That's encouraging Believe me I hope you are right and I am wrong.
  8. The percentages from otr, pendleton, etc I posted earlier DO NOT include early voting or absentee. So number should be much higher
  9. I don't disagree with you at all. But when I read that there's high turnout on the westside polls and mediocre to low turnout in OTR/Pendelton, that really concerns me
  10. A guy called into the Buzz today and said "I voted for John Cranley because he believes in God"
  11. Doesn't tell the whole story though. The wording on that ballot initiative was misleading and many republicans that didn't like the streetcar voted against it because of how poorly written it was. I highly doubt any republicans are voting against Cranley
  12. What makes you say that? I have not seen who is actually ahead. Most believe a low turnout favors Cranley heavily Low info Dems are usually the first to slack off. Republicans generally are attributed to being the best voters. I would guess low info Dems would vote Cranley, so a 100% turnout would probably favor Cranley over just a race between Republicans & high info Dems I wonder how many Reps will just sit it out. The loons won't, and that's about all you hear from nowadays. Some Tease might just vote for Rep council members & issue 4. Doesn't issue 4 prevent the city from borrowing money o pay down the pension deficit - one of Cranky's big promises? Exactly how Kasich got to office. Dems sat that one out and the Tea partiers/GOP were really motivated. Disastrous
  13. My guess would be no...I think he's referring to just walk in votes today
  14. What makes you say that? I have not seen who is actually ahead. Most believe a low turnout favors Cranley heavily
  15. Osborne reporting most precincts at 23 to 29 percent. This is going to be a huge Cranley victory unless people start voting. There's 2 hours standing in the way of a a Cranley 700wlw coast regime
  16. 7g Bond Hill 21%, 7h Roselawn 19%
  17. Do those number include early voters? Not sure. That was the info just given to me. Didn't say
  18. Otr at 13%,pendleton at 6%,hyde park 22. Qualls doesn't have a chance with those numbers
  19. Otr has a pretty bad turnout this far according to twitter accounts. 10% isn't going to cut it.
  20. No idea, but hopefully a lot of young college students from UC are voting. That would be huge for qualls presumably
  21. Ryan Hoffman ‏@RyanHoffman3 30m So far, 6,547 people have voted at the four precincts surrounding @uofcincy. @NewsRecord_UC
  22. Jeff Cramerding ‏@Jcramerding 13m Unofficial turnout as of 3 p.m. from Ward 6: A (downtown) 13%; C (otr) 10%: D (pendleton) 6%. If you have other #s pls send Jeff Cramerding ‏@Jcramerding 2m Turnout for 26J (13%) and 26B (15%) both in Westwood. Thanks, @sdiddycomes
  23. This is it guys....4.5 hours left. VOTE. Tell everyone you know to vote. The Enquirer, Tea Party, COAST, Hamilton County GOP, 700wlw, and Enquirer are going ALL OUT for John Cranley, Amy Murray, etc. They are counting on you and your friends not voting
  24. Early turnout was half of what it was for the 2009 mayoral election. Not a good indication for Qualls
  25. Me too. Worried about the turnout
