I like this letter: Blue Ash doesn’t deserve C.O.A.S.T.’s criticism http://cincinnati.com/blogs/letters/2012/08/27/blue-ash-doesnt-deserve-c-o-a-s-t-s-criticism/

Jake, Do you have any video of the Blue Ash Council scolding Finney(even though he wasn't there to hear it)?
  4. This false equivancy argument drives me crazy. So annoying. All the media does it to appear non biased. Btw one of the female commenters said Capell was thrown out and banned from the blue ash Rec center for harassing female customers. Any truth to this?
  5. The only major thing standing in Cincinnatis way is Duke Energy.
  6. This josh spring guy on 700wlw is out of his mind saying the old Washington park is better, safer, with less drunks, and problems. He said these new "tourists" coming to washington park are walking around making noise, disrupting the peace and quiet and peeing on buildings/streets. The homeless coalition now wants to ban drinking in Washington park Even the 700wlw host was like "wtf are you talking about?"

  8. Smitherman had 34 min today as an in studio guest on Brian Thomas show. As you can imagine there was a lot of misinformation. Said the 2nd ballot initiative only stopped the streetcar and only for 10 years. Said supporters argument against that initiative is that "we weren't progressive". Said the streetcar will bankrupt the city like the California cities. You get the idea
  9. A little off topic: Our favorite Enquirer "I can walk at a 6mph pace for 3 miles" Barry Horstman was on Hardball with Chris Matthews last week with Ted Strickland... And look at that thing on his head http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036697/ns/msnbc-hardball_with_chris_matthews/#48695322
  10. After all you've seen them do over the past 10 years, I think the more pressing question is why do you think they don't have a suburban agenda?
  11. COAST gets knocked down for the count http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20120818/EDIT02/308170135/We-won-t-let-COAST-get-our-way?odyssey=mod|newswell|text|FRONTPAGE|s
  12. Guess how many murders have been in Avondale this year...Just guess... Got a number? Well you're wrong. It's ZERO http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20120817/NEWS/308170127&Ref=AR
  13. I don't blame you. From everything I hear, Mark Miller used to be a normal guy who you could have a beer with and talk politics. Now he's gotten so obsessed with the streetcar that it literally consumes every second of every day of his life. Just read his twitter account at GoCOAST. He connects every single non related thing the city does bizarrely to the streetcar project. You're right its obsessive and its gotten to be a bit psychotic.
  14. 'New available funds could be used for brent spence bridge/streetcar' http://www.wcpo.com/dpp/news/local_news/new-available-transportation-funds-could-be-used-for-brent-spence-bridge Should be interesting to see how COAST will try to ban this potential federal funding for the streetcar should the city apply
  15. Who's josh spring
  16. Updated: http://www.citybeat.com/cincinnati/article-25977-coasts_latest_anti_streetcar_rant_is_flimsier_than_normal.html
  17. Don't know if this was on here earlier but.... Enquirer did have a bright spot not too long ago. An NYT opinion piece picked up this investigative report from the Enquirer about how Ohio Republicans are trying to limit early voting only in democratic counties http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/15/opinion/overt-discrimination-in-ohio.html http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/201208052259/NEWS0106/308050053 And then again today: http://news.cincinnati.com/comments/article/20120815/NEWS/308150027/Statewide-policy-early-vote-possible I had to do a double take when I saw a National Political pundit retweet an Enquirer article
  18. I can only hope that was a joke... cause downtown needs another lot like I need a hole in my head. I'm hoping for an Applebee's
  19. The media continues to give the COAST nutjobs a platform http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news/hamilton-county/Plans-to-sell-Blue-Ash-Airport-raises-serious-questions/-/13550662/16047706/-/cwdltk/-/index.html
  20. Please tell me someone recorded COASTs insanity
  21. FakeCinEnquirer replied to UncleRando's post in a topic in Ohio Politics
That's exactly what I was trying to say earlier. This is much more eloquent
  22. In the articulate words of Cincycapell: "And GoCOAST lost...Again" COAST is getting a ballot initiative together. Their plan is to delay the deal until 2014.
  23. 'Blue Ash sale to be cancelled, then sold again" http://www.local12.com/news/local/story/Blue-Ash-Airport-Sale-To-Be-Canceled-Then/7azbf5CQdE280ecs2ey_2Q.cspx#.UCQlXGRkoNI.twitter 'Deal or no deal?' http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/blog/2012/08/deal-or-no-deal-blue-ash-mulls.html?ana=RSS&s=article_search&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+industry_20+(Industry+Commercial+Real+Estate) ....
  24. http://cincinnati.com/blogs/northeastnotes/2012/08/09/coast-to-blue-ash-hands-off-airport-deal/ Jeff Capell at it again
  25. So much misinformation I couldnt keep up Finney said 10 million dollars a year will be taken from police, fire, and filling potholes There's more but you get the idea Finney said what blue ash and Cincy are doing leaves itself open to litigation and that he will present all sorts of possible legal suits tonight at hearing. Finney has contacted the mayor and nearly every council member trying to influence the vote
