Chris Smitherman all over the talk radio circuit today spewing his nonsense. I just envision suburbans nodding their heads in agreement. "The city will be bankrupt" "Raising the property tax for the Streetcar" "This is a streetcar tax" "This is a rogue council"

Mark Miller of COAST just blocked me. I guess he didn't like my headline about "Anderson Krogers expanding to meet the needs of COAST's waistline"

So 700wlw has bashed OTR relentlessly and called it unsafe on every show today after the drive by this weekend. Yet they fail to realize that Fairfield Ohio, yes Fairfield, has more murders than OTR this year. Where is their sweeping generalization that Fairfield is unsafe?

The city has got to go on the offensive in relation to PR. They cannot sit back and allow a few loudmouths to persuade public opinion with their propaganda

It was this guy holding up the no tax increase sign on the left I tweeted about that guy as well. Basically he was screaming about socialism, more Reagan, and the Constitution. Then ended it on a high note with "Anti-Christ"/"Gov is evil" quotes Another guy ranted about the streetcar Another "4th generation Cincinnatian" complained about "Yuppies moving in" Another woman said "Cincinnati Property tax increase will drive people to cheaper locations like Indian Hill" Its been interesting thus far

You're right it doesnt. But looking at the dozens of comments from the 700wlw crowd, they are directly blaming the streetcar for the deficit and pension problem. Smitherman has always been an opportunist and I believe he's going to try and capitalize on that anger. His ego is also hurt from the two failed initiatives so now he's taking it personally. His statement of "we must stop the streetcar" as opposed to his past statements leads me to believe he's got something in the works

I think PG is falling under Chris Smitherman's "spell". He's spent too much time worrying about his public image by appearing on 700wlw, that he's starting to fall under the influence of Smitherman. A LUI(Legislating under the influence) if you will
