And there's the problem right there. Lazy journalism. Pieces are being written and published without speaking to the subjects and without checking assumptions to be certain that they are factual. Weak. I wouldn't call it lazy since Dan immediately called up Smitherman and investigated the claim...I'd call it biased

The courier news feeds appear on 700wlw everyday. I believe they have some sort of partnership. Dan Monk was just on Cunningham's show this week talking about council and 'streetcar costs'. Its safe to say there is a narrative

An updated version of the courier has this quote from Smitherman: "I love it. It shows their desperation" Let me guess...he'll be a guest on 700wlw tomorrow and 55krc I still don't know how its legal to be head of the NAACP, be on city council, and host shows on radio airwaves promoting your agenda on council

My opinion is just that its a hail mary in terms of stopping the project and its actually a ploy to pimp their ratings... By the way, Mark Miller is going absolutely ape on twitter so I assume construction is going to start soon. They are attempting to drum up support for their cause in the suburbs by saying the suburbs will be forced to pay for utilities... Isn't there some kind of conflict of interest or something that prevents Smitherman from pushing his agenda through a media outlet show while on Council?

55 and 700 are really getting annoying. They increasing the amounts of gasoline on the fire. Smitherman on both stations seemingly everyday. Luken, Finney. There's no counter balance. There's no other opinions. Fake callers like Nick from Loveland to make the other side seem really stupid. They have really ramped it up over the last month. I've never seen such a pathetic and desperate attempt to stop a public project that was approved twice at the polls
