I know we all pretty much dislike Smitherman, but this came from the FAA. If the city is bound legally to use the money for other airport operations, such as Luken, then it should not divert the money to other projects. But why now? Why did this just come to light now? Obviously the opponents were not aware of the letter sent to Mallory last December or else they'd be screaming this at the top of their lungs for the last year. There's gotta be more to this

The longer we wait for construction, the more angry, outrageous, and active the opponents get. Don't know about this Blue Ash Airport issue other than Smitherman was crying foul against it so I assume its him behind the accusations.... Either way, nothing good can come from continuous delays of construction

I'm not going to get my hopes up or believe any construction dates until I actually see the construction with my own two eyes Nothing personal against John or anyone else who have done a great job with this project, I've just heard construction dates for the last 2 years and nothing has come into fruition

Hearing Smitherman is definitely pursuing an amendment to ban any and all potential revenue from the casino from going to the operation of the streetcar

The first petition being how to spend the estimated $20 million per year in Casino revenue. City Council has already outlined how these dollars should be spent before the casino has been built. Another petition might be a "2nd chance" petition to allow a person with a low level felony to get a job with the City of Cincinnati. All the people in Cincinnati should benefit from any casino revenue! People deserve a 2nd chance in life! Politics 101.

I read awhile back that the Enquirer will change from anonymous comments to facebook comments. That should eliminate some of the crackpots I would imagine though if they are that determined to create different accounts, they will just create fake facebook accounts

The climate is definitely changing . I can't tell you how many people I ran into from the suburbs and the city who are for light rail. If Cincinnati's 'Metromoves' plan from 2002 was on the ballot this election, it would be really really close.
