Cleveland to Canada Ferry
Not a huge update, but nice to see public support and the port authority bringing it up again. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2011/09/public_lauds_cleveland-cuyahog.html

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
People getting jobs is great, but I still can't muster any enthusiasm for this or any casino in my 'hood...

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
For what it's worth, I love the layout of 668 and am proud to be a resident of downtown Cleveland. That said, the bedroom (at least mine) doesn't have a window leading to outside. It leads to the hallway. So my room is constantly dark, regardless of time of day, making it more difficult than ever to get up in the morning, not to mention I never feel like doing work in there, since I can't look outside.

Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue
The Union Club bought the lot and somehow is deconstructing the surface lot to have better access to the below grade parking garage behind it Thanks!

Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue
Noticed construction on the north side of Euclid Ave. between E. 12th and 13th. Anyone have any thoughts on what's going on? Looks like i twas a surface lot.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Hmmmm, there's got to be a way to set something basic up. A flash website that shows dots on a map or just some way of broadcasting the GPS signal publicly that wouldn't cost as much as the ideal system RTA is working toward. Many that don't live in Cleveland but attended the RTA Bar Crawl were impressed with how expansive the system is. The only negative comment was on smart cards and real-time updates. Next time I'll be sure to use the Healthline, since that seems to run very frequently and definitely gives a nice urban vibe!

Cleveland to Canada Ferry
Are... are those pictures of London, ON!? Is 90 minutes what they believe it would take? Sounds like it would might be a shorter commute to Toronto than driving if you could go from ferry to high-speed train. Regardless, I want this... now :). Is there any update? I thought I read a Crains Cleveland that said it was in the works, but I can't remember...

Cleveland to Canada Ferry
Any update on this? Or is MurrayHill's post the most recent development? Was just reading Lake Erie Living where they talk about taking road trips up to Ontario, so it got me thinking about this again. P.S. Just read on London's wiki page that their nickname is "The Forest City"...

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
The day that Ohio City to Tremont is walkable (i.e. a pleasant looking walk that tourists and locals alike would find scenic) is a day that should be celebrated in grand-freaking-fashion!

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I will be even more of a RTA addict when those smart cards are installed. Any updates being made that will show a live schedule of bus routes, particularly the Rapid and Healthline? I know Chicago and Minneapolis have a way of seeing real-time updates of where buses are. Would be great to have that here!

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I've been in touch with RTA about this and got a "not anytime soon" response... Can't wait, though!

RTA Bar Crawl
The inaugural RTA Bar Crawl was a resounding SUCCESS!!! Thanks to any and all UO folks who came out to support the crawl. I'll do a write up featuring pictures and the amount raised for the official charity, We Run This City, soon. And coming soon to a Rocky River/Lakewood/Edgewater/Gordon Square/Downtown bar near you, it's the RTA West Side Bar Crawl! We'll be starting in Rocky River to watch the Buckeyes play at noon and depart toward Lakewood right after. Dates under consideration are 9/17 (Buckeyes @ Hurricanes) or 9/24 (Buffaloes @ Buckeyes). Any preference? DISCUSS!

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Hopefully they'll get the consistent traffic Sweet Moses gets. The key to Cleveland neighborhood revitalization seems to be good beer, food and ice cream. Should probably start thinking of putting a gym in...

Cleveland: Chinatown old and new (with some live-work)
I just read an article on construction going on Rockwell Ave. to revitalize Cleveland's Chinatown and thought I'd see if anyone has any pictures and/or updates beyond the article! http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2011/08/reviving_old_chinatown_whateve.html

Cleveland: Car-sharing services
It read it as CSU students get a special rate and that perhaps us regular folk will have to pay the regular rate...?
-
Cleveland: Car-sharing services
Brilliant! I'm assuming non-CSU students can use the service, too?

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Excuse my ignorance, but... viaduct construction project?

Akron: Random Development and News
Sweet Mary, I would love rail service in Akron connected to Cleveland's. I would be much more likely to make day trips down to Akron if it had more of a "twin city" feel to it. Just took the survey! Anyone know of an approximate timeline on when they'll select one of the options and get going on construction?

Akron: Random Development and News
Would love to take a bike aboard the CVR and bike around Akron to explore, drink and crash somewhere!

Akron: Random Development and News
Thanks for all the info! Any "young professional" drinking festivities coming up? Would love to come down and finally explore Akron beyond the Spaghetti Warehouse to Canal Park walk.

Akron: Random Development and News
Great! What would you all say are the most exciting things going on in downtown Akron right now? Also, I'm putting on a RTA Bar Crawl showcasing Cleveland's public transit and encouraging people to move into Cleveland proper. I've been tweeting with Akron Metro. Anyone want to come up and see how you could do one for Akron?

Akron: Random Development and News
How safe is walking around Downtown Akron? I know Cleveland has long had a stigma of it being unsafe, but after forcing myself to explore and now living here, I can vouche (along with fellow UrbanOhio folks) that it's very safe. I ask, because I'm interested in starting to take trips down there on random weekdays or weekends and will soon be car-less. I'd be taking the Megabus down to the Metro Station, which seems to be walking distance to Canal Park and the Art Museum. Thoughts?

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
I'd like this info, too. I can't even remember what the tentative ribbon cutting date is!

Cleveland: University Circle: Uptown (UARD)
Pictures of the area you're referring to? Or something to Google Maps?

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
I'm too freaking ecstatic to care about minor details. Is it 2013 yet!?
