Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
TC has Insufficient parking for the outlet mall proposed on the lakefront. It WOULD NOT WORK at TC for the million reasons that have been mentioned here before. Not for the target audience for that outlet mall project.

Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
I’m not glad this ended period. And we DONT know how long it will take for this to be developed. People here was killing this project, letting perfect be the enemy of good. Well we all better hope and pray that this doesn’t continue to stay abandoned.

Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
Burke isn’t closing anytime soon, which is why I brought it up. Since it’s going to be open, might as well increase its usage. And I do remember it was reported that the city and the county had preliminary discussions on a merger. But if a merger happened, it’d be the county airport merging into Burke, not the other way around (and I think it should merge into Burke, for the record)

Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
I don’t understand why the city and county don’t merge the airports. That’s one way to get the traffic up at Burke and the development and attract businesses that would be needed as a result. The County airport has a lot of businesses around it and having those businesses at Burke would help the airport and the downtown economy in many ways. I know merging came up briefly a few years ago but no one pursued it. I’m of the camp that we need to keep Burke. But that doesn’t mean that we have to keep it as it is. We can do things to get more traffic out of it and to make Burke have more of a positive impact on the economy. We have plenty of land to develop around the lakefront before we’d have to even think about closing Burke, so let’s get some good use out of it and increase the traffic

Richmond Heights: Belle Oaks (Richmond Town Square Redevelopment)
There’s still gonna be retail as part of the development too. Storefronts and the regal cinema. U need parking for that

Cleveland: Local Media News & Discussion
As an African American I wouldn’t have necessarily fired him but he would’ve been suspended or something. There’s no excuse for being a news reporter at one of the biggest news Radio stations in this market and not knowing the rules. The AP Stylebook tells you that it can only be used when referring to specific organizations (as in the NAACP). This isn’t some ham & egger. You’re a news reporter. For a very big radio station. No excuses. You should know better

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Thank God lol. Where are you heading the jail may be located? and in your opinion which of the JC locations have the potential to create the most spinoff development? I’m inclined to believe Bedrock. I think it would be huge for that area and for Tower City
-
Cleveland: Nautica Development
This should become a thing
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
I wouldn’t want the jail there but the Justice Center by itself would be a huge boon for the area if it went to Bedrock

Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions
TEASE! Lol

Cleveland: Hough: Development and News
I want Hough to be beautiful. I don’t mind seeing these newer, suburban style homes there. My philosophy has always been that Cleveland is big enough to have a neighborhood with everything that people want as far as lifestyle. Every neighborhood doesn’t have to be the same, nor should it. Fannie Lewis pushed for a lot of those homes to be built. The idea was to restore the wealth that Hough used to have many many many moons ago. And I’m all for that. When my family migrated from the south they landed in Hough. One of my parents was in Hough during the riots. I want to see Hough rise. And if, as a result of its proximity to the clinic and all of that, it ends up looking like Chagrin Boulevard, so be it. I’m not opposed

Cleveland: Hough: Development and News
It gets to a point where it’s not economically feasible to “save” a structure sometimes. Developers aren’t in the business of giving money away and the city doesn’t want to throw resources into a money pit either

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
Some went to jail

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
That’s a fair argument. Some people agree with you. I was coming of age as the original FEB was dying out so I didn’t get a chance to experience it but you could be right
-
Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Not getting into the COVID convo here (only remotely related to the conversation). I will say this though: while, yes I agree that there should be more amenities to make FEB a full “neighborhood”, I for the life of me do not understand the anti-entertainment district attitude among some here. Having clubs and bars is not a bad thing folks! Especially if you actually want your city to be attractive to people who like to go to clubs and bars lol. I don’t know how many times I’ve pointed out here how the nightlife or perceived nightlife of Cleveland has ramifications beyond just whether you like it or not. It may not be for you, and that’s fine. But you can’t call yourself a big city and not have an entertainment district. Without a thriving nightlife you’re just basically anytown USA or a big ass suburb. And I’m not interested in living in Anytown USA. And I know the people I deal with for work aren’t interested in it either. It matters. Now granted, COVID has everything on pause right now, but eventually we will bounce back. And FEB can be a neighborhood with both neighborhood amenities and a thriving nightlife. When people come from out of town and they ask to be taken to a hotspot, they aren’t talking about Constantinos lol. ??♂️

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
I love it! Very important for that neighborhood and will really set the tone as a second downtown.
-
Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand
Shame. What will replace it
-
Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
That’s such a BS line, and I really wish people would stop saying it
-
Cleveland: Superior Arts District: Development and News
The point isn’t whether the criticism is warranted or unwarranted. The question is is it relevant? I don’t care for them either, but that’s not relevant to whether this is or isn’t a good project and every development involving then shouldn’t necessitate the unneeded personal shots. It’s irrelevant and old
-
Cleveland: Superior Arts District: Development and News
Are you one of those potential tenants? If not, then this entire post that you just made is irrelevant to the topic and just an excuse to take a shot
-
Cleveland: Superior Arts District: Development and News
I’m not a particular fan of them either but why is it that a project of theirs can’t come up around here without taking personal shots at them? Let’s stick to the project please
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions
What kind of tenant did they have before they walked away
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions
Got excited cause I love that building but now reading it could be in jeopardy, now I’m just bummed lol

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
“The new medical school and research facilities could feature thousands of students and research jobs and be a magnet for many millions of dollars of state and federal funding for education and research. CSU's strengthened effort in the healthcare field is intended to provide a steady and voluminous supply of students and interns for Greater Cleveland's large medical institutions.” That alone could change EVERYTHING

Cleveland: Nautica Development
Me either. Let’s do this!
