Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Are Cavs' tickets still highly priced this season? I don't live in Cleveland, but have friends from out of state who want to go to Cavaliers games. Seeing how they play now there is no way I would pay the money I was hearing earlier this season for them.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
His handling of players and schemes in the fourth quarter last night was mind-boggling. Either plays weren't set up for Kevin Love or Delly was playing keep away so he could take the shot (and miss it). Either way, it's up to Blatt to set these guys straight. And the Cavs were leading by 17. They needed stops down the stretch and yet Philly scored 35 on us in the 4th. WHY was Shawn Marion riding the bench?? I'd also throw Haywood in there. We wouldn't need him to score, just get stops. And we didn't get stops. I had to re-check the score when I saw the breakdown of the points by quarters and saw the Cavs heavily outscored Philly in the second quarter. I thought maybe I read it wrong, and not because Philly is so bad, but realizing just how bad of a 4th the Cavs had. I am not hitting the panic button yet, but I am far from impressed with Blatt; I had high expectations of him in the beginning and liked the way he presented himself to the media. This is not Israel anymore, and obviously a different league. It is easy to put the blame on the coach when things go wrong, but a lot of the blame on him in present is warranted. This team is not only playing mediocre, but they are not "gelling" together. It's early, I know this. But I wasn't expecting these outcomes. The Philadelphia and Detroit games were big wake up calls.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I am digitizing some areas of development within the basin (specifically downtown and OTR) in a GIS project. I am mapping out areas of current development and future areas as well. Because the streetcar is such a catalyst for development, I want to map out its route. I have found different maps, but I was wondering if anyone can find me the most up-to-date map of the streetcar route.

Winterfest Cleveland
Hello all. I have family from down South coming up for Thanksgiving, and instead of doing our usual Youngstown activities for the week, I wanted to take them up to Cleveland and show them around the city. We went to Pittsburgh the last time they were here, and they have expressed interest in going to Cleveland and doing something different. We will most likely be going on Saturday after Thanksgiving. I was thinking heading downtown and showing them the attractions there. Winterfest is going on and I know a lot of different activities are going on with that. Does anyone know when that starts and wraps up? Besides everything that is going on downtown, I was thinking going to the east side and showing them around University Circle and Little Italy, heading up to Coventry and then head back to Youngstown. I would really like to show them the west side, but time is of importance. There will be a 9 and 10 year-old with us so keeping them entertained is important. What about the new Corner Alley in Uptown? Figured we could go there and grab a bite to eat in Little Italy. But I see all the food trucks will be out on Walnut for Winterfest. I know Cleveland extremely well, but I would like input from people other than myself. In Cleveland there is so much going on, and if I lived there I know I would pack on the pounds with the food options available. So I am thinking of all the places to go to, but I know with kids and a larger group, keeping the itinerary timely and organized will make a good trip. So here is what I am thinking, and please add to it: Winterfest Museums in UC Bowling in Uptown? Little Italy and Coventry If I have time, what should I visit on the west side? Thanks for any recommendations.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Luckily most of us know Cleveland has a better skyline than that. Go Browns!

Cleveland: Downtown: Jack Cleveland Casino - Phase 2
So Bob Stark seems to be going forward with nuCLEus (horrible name) because of the Republicans and LeBron? If these weren't happening we could just forget about nuCLEus? Isn't that nice. Because downtown Cleveland didn't have momentum before they decided to come to town. I am hearing that from the video correctly, right?

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
Such a perfect example. I wouldn't have even thought of this if you didn't mention other examples. But if anyone knows this area of Philly... then you can certainly see the similarities to Midtown.

Youngstown-Warren: Random Development and News
This is exciting to see! Youngstown has a pretty nice downtown, just needed some more activity and it's finally getting it! Marchionda is doing great things downtown. NYO Properties owns several downtown buildings, and the residential properties are very popular with downtown workers and students. Since I have moved back to NE Ohio it has been nice to see all the development taking place downtown just in that short time period. During the lunch hours throughout the week and Friday and Saturday nights Federal Street has some really decent pedestrian activity going on. I have been meaning to do a photo tour of downtown, Wick Park, Milcreek, YSU, etc, but it's a matter of finding the time to do so. Good things are happening in Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.

At first I thought that drilling could be for the 8-story CSU building proposed, but I believe that is further to the east, correct?

Cleveland - Hotel Development/Operations (NON-construction related)
If you could rank the AC properties that you have been to from your favorite to your least favorite, that would be great. I have only been by the Lexington/Algonquin and Union Station. I agree, Union Station looked spectacular.

It's called sarcasm. Northeast Ohioans tend to take sarcasm to a different level. Obviously you didn't catch on to Hts' sarcasm.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
At first glance I was wondering what was connecting the science center to the Rock Hall then realized it was the crane to the new Hilton. I really like the new marina. Was down around that area during the one Brown's game and the activity was amazing. The Goodtime had several cruises going on, the park was packed, and people were watching the game on their boats docked right within the harbor. Not a bad way to tailgate.

Cincinnati: General Business & Economic News
Chinatown has taken over most of Little Italy in Manhattan. Cleveland's Little Italy is full of Italians... what are you talking about? Yes, there are a lot of Case students living in the area, but it is still one of the best Little Italy neighborhoods in the country. It is not uncommon to get off the rapid or be walking down Mayfield or side streets and hear Italian being spoken, the numerous Italian flags in the yards or hanging from the porches. It's not just Italian restaurants, it's an ethnic neighborhood. Are you refuting the point or just setting the record straight on Cleveland? There wasn't much to agree or disagree with. I agree, Little Italy in Lower Manhattan has lost most of its footprint to Chinatown. It is not uncommon to see an Asian restaurant next to an Italian restaurant. It seems like today, Manhattan's Little Italy is even smaller than two blocks. I have been to OTR a few times, but do not know much about its German roots. Knowing it is Cincinnati I am sure there are plenty of German restaurants within the neighborhood. This is an honest question, though. Is OTR a strong ethnic German neighborhood? Little Italy in Cleveland has strong Italian roots with many Italian families living on side streets off of the main thoroughfare. It is not uncommon to be walking down Murray Hill, Coltman, or Fairview and see Italian flags or hear Italian being spoken either by people on their front porches or walking by on the sidewalk. Wait in line at Presti's or Murray Hill Market and you will hear Italian. It is also very toursity as well. I was in line the other day at Corbo's and was behind a group of British tourists, but it is still very much an ethnic neighborhood. I am basically just setting the record straight on Little Italy in Cleveland. You will see a lot of Case students in the area (many live in the neighborhood) right alongside people who have lived there for decades.

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
This exactly. I like the site plan; taking up the remaining surface lots and putting the parking within the boundaries of the buildings. The materials that could be used on the other hand... not a fan.

Columbus: General Business & Economic News
At least he acknowledged people disagreed. But I still can't get past him saying that. It's ridiculous. You could point out so many world class things in Columbus, but he really thinks that if you go to Europe you will run into more people who know of Columbus, Indiana (population 44k) than Columbus, Ohio... lol I didn't even know there was a Columbus, Indiana until 4 years ago when I told someone from Indiana I was from Columbus and they thought I meant the Indiana one. I guess that's my bad though. He also says Louisville is famous because of the Kentucky Derby. Which, I'm ashamed to say, I had no idea was in Louisville. I knew it was in Kentucky and that's about it. Louisville, to me, is known for the Louisville Slugger. I think he has some ok ideas about certain things, but he's also a bit delusional. I'm not a very big fan of Aaron. He's from Indiana so expect him to boost anything Indiana. He can be harsh on Indianapolis at times, but when Columbus clearly excels over Indy in a lot of regards he will speak highly of Indianapolis over Columbus. I think he sees Ohio in general as a competitor like most from surrounding states and will quickly use comments like "Columbus, Indiana being a bigger brand name than our capital city.

No, not touchy, just straightforward. It's not a matter of being improper asking about facts, it's your smart way of implying I knew all the details.

Where did I ever imply I know all the details? I'm putting a bet a Columbus project gets first dibs, that's it. You wanna look anymore into my posts while you're at it? I'll take your bet. It's going to the May Co building. I sure hope so.
