Cincinnati/NKY International Airport
According to the CVG press release, the flight will initially leave CVG at 6:15 a.m., arriving in Denver at 7:15 and in time to connect to 19 other cities. The return flight leaves Denver at 6:59 p.m. and arrives in Cincinnati at 11:35 p.m. It's reasonable to assume that a second flight would be added if this initial flight proves popular. And judging by the strong numbers for Frontier's two flights out of Dayton, I like the chances for another. As a semi-frequent Frontier traveler, I can't sing the airline's praises loudly enough. The staff is among the most courteous in the business, the planes are new, comfortable and clean, they offer in-flight DirecTV and Denver is a great airport to connect through. And, as a former Denver-area resident and as evidenced by my screen name on here, I love the city. Big win for CVG. http://www.cvgairport.com/about/news/press_release.aspx?id=aae35637-ca09-4738-8463-8ba5045c8af1

Miamisburg / Springboro: Austin Landing
I wouldn't call this a major anything at this point. Kroger just opened this past week to give this development a grand total of two open retail tenants (Kohl's is the other). And the long-rumored Jeff Ruby's restaurant was debunked this week as Ruby said the demographics of the area wouldn't support his price points. Driving by this development regularly (a couple times a week), nothing else looks remotely close to opening.

Cincinnati/NKY International Airport
There is no perception. It has the highest ticket prices in all of the USA. No wonder the locally generated airline traffic is down. They go to other surrounding airports. When it's cheaper, sure. Which is hardly all the time. I flew Delta's Cincinnati-to-Paris non-stop the week before Christmas and it was, by far, the cheapest alternative at the time. I flew to Washington Dulles for a weekend in September and it was easily the cheapest of any realistic airport around here (Dayton, Columbus). Sorry, but I'm not driving two hours to Indy or Louisville (four hours round-trip) to save $80.

Cincinnati/NKY International Airport
Frontier is pulling out of Dayton at the end of May, citing Southwest's presence there and not wanting to compete with them for Dayton-Denver travelers. Could CVG be a possibility for Frontier? There is currently no low-cost competition and Frontier could corner that market. I think Frontier could do well in Cincinnati. Frontier also pulled out of Louisville but added/boosted service to Columbus and Cleveland. http://www.bizjournals.com/denver/news/2013/01/11/frontier-dayton.html

Cincinnati: Downtown: Mabley Place (formerly Tower Place Mall)
Wow that's amazing! Did the mall have stores along the lines of what Tower City had when it opened? Not really. Tower Place is much smaller than Tower City. But in its heyday, Tower Place (and the adjoining Carew Tower arcade) had Victoria Secret, Banana Republic, FYE, Foot Locker, the Nature Company, Structure, Williams-Sonoma, Express, Brentano's, TJMaxx (still there, with separate access from the mall), Morton's The Steakhouse (still downtown, but no longer at the mall), a watch store or two and a decent food court.

Cincinnati: Downtown: 84.51°
Hard to believe the site is being fenced off and prepped and we still haven't seen what's going there yet. Where are the renderings?

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
While that'd be nice, I wouldn't expect it. Folks in this thread have basically said that the Banks is like the My First Urban Experience for well-heeled suburbanites, and I pretty much agree. I expect everything that goes in at the Banks will be really safe choices and almost always national names. hopefully we'll see some retail in forthcoming phases - appropriate tenants might include Crate & Barrel, Apple, Anthropologie, etc. Yet, among the existing Banks tenants, Holy Grail, Mahogany's and Moerlein Lager House are local names with zero national recognition. I'd like to see them maintain a balance. I wonder if Larosa's will be the first pizza place to open at The Banks, or will someone else jump in first? As a Dayton native, I think something like Marion's could absolutely clean up at The Banks. They moved into Mason so they're inching south.

Jimmy John's set open at The Banks in April. Nice addition that will probably be slammed before/after games. http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2013/01/03/new-eatery-to-open-at-the-banks-on.html

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Anyone who listens to this on New Years Eve really needs to examine how/why/when their life started to spiral out of control. The only reason this fool is getting this worthless airtime is because all the regular talking heads and their usual replacements are off or don't want to come in.

Lucky for us craft beer fans, they make it work (as evidenced by their dozens of locations around the country).

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fountain Square West
This. Times Square is completely engulfed by massive towers yet people still flock there.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fountain Square West
I like the Jahn building - even though it looks like the Kroger Building (my least favorite Cincinnati tower) is pushed into the left side like some weird game of Super Jenga.

Cincinnati: Pendleton: Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati
Does anyone know if the Greyhound station is going to stay in that location indefinitely? I remember about a year ago dropping someone off there and, while we were getting his things out of the trunk, a cop approached and warned us to be careful in that parking lot and she warned my friend not to leave his bags alone even for a minute. That doesn't seem like something the casino is going to be thrilled about. And how many people are going to miss their bus because they're wandering around the casino?
-
Cincinnati: Pendleton: Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati
Yea, downtown really couldn't use a 24-hour presence. Or a destination on what, for decades, had been a hideously expansive surface parking lot. Or a tourist-friendly restaurant that's not on The Banks like Margaritaville.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fountain Square West
This is exactly where Cincinnati's tallest building should be, not on Third Street. What other sites are realistic for a new tallest other than the Western-Southern spinning clock garage site or possibly Third and Walnut?

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
The Banks is a suburbanite destination, and not just when the Bengals and Reds are playing. And I'm sure you'd say that places such as Hard Rock Cafe also cater to suburbanites, but they're located in downtown areas in virtually every city they're in. There should be enough of a diverse crowd to support a variety of places, from the unique like Arnold's and Lackman to the chains, like JR and Toby Keith's. Other cities make it work.

The height of those three would be very nice! There are three more renderings on Page 76 too.

And it was home to a skywalk-level sports bar (can't remember the name) that was always packed. But that building was nothing short of hideous.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fountain Square West
Since 5/3 actually owns the air rights for the any Fountain Square West tower, they'd surely play a major role.

Petition Asks Obama to Give Toledo Back to Michigan
We keep Youngstown and Toledo. Kentucky can have Cinci! Great idea. Let's give up one of the metros in the state that is actually, you know, growing.
