Cleveland: Downtown Cleveland Alliance News & Discussion
The Mall would be a great place to go sledding so long as they put a fence in front of the road.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
On the Tribe telecast, they said it happened at 2:30 a.m., he refused to give the cops information when they arrived, refused medical attention and refused to file a report. An unnamed source also said "he had ten chances to walk away."

Cleveland: 2013 Mayoral Race
According to Lanci's website, he "resides at East 12th and St. Clair Ave," so the Avenue District.

Thanks, looks great. Although, I doubt that LaPorta will still be on the team when the conversion is finished.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
Euclid? Oh sorry! I guess I was in the zone walking over there the other day and didn't pay attention to how far I was walking. I meant the storefronts between Statler and East 9th down Euclid.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
Perfect. Hopefully, this helps fill up those empty storefronts directly south on Euclid. Maybe paving the way for a Trader Joe's! 8-)

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Agreed. Isn't everything beyond North Pointe landfill? It would be difficult to build major highrises, but I don't doubt we could have some medium density development there. Two questions (even though I know Burke won't be closed): (1) How much would the FAA fees be to close the airport? I've heard ranges from $5-100 million. (2) Couldn't we be creative with Burke? As in, first, change the name from Burke Lakefront to Burke. Then expand the airport, maybe on the otherside of the highway, although finding such land would be difficult. Then, remove the part of the airport that is on the lakefront. Thus, Burke airport still exists, so it we wouldn't have to pay the FAA fees and we'd have the part that's on the lake available to develop.

The website has been updated!! It now lists the apartments as rentals. http://www.zaremba.net//community/floor_plans.php?cid=2667 1Br are on the pricey side from 1200-2000, but 2 br are from 1500 to 3300, not including penthouses.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Agreed. He seems to get to the rim on any possession he has the ball. He also made some ridiculous passes yesterday. You gotta believe that with the extra spacing that Kyrie would give and Anderson's activity will only open those lanes even further. He is being double teamed fairly often, but that'll be hard to do with Kyrie in the back court. Still nervous about the pick, but much happier about it than I was after the draft.

Definitely Bratenahl. I lived there...very familiar with those homes. That blue house recently sold for less than $300,000. Thanks! That area looks awesome.

Wow, great shots! Thanks! You really have knack for photography! Quick question, where are those mansions by the lake?

Bummed. Very.

Would anyone be bummed if we picked Dion Waiters at 4? I would be.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Terrance Ross coming in for a last minute workout tomorrow. While I think he would be a great addition to the team, I hope we are not considering him at 4. It could mean we would take Portland's 6 and 11 or that we are bluffing to force Charlotte's hand for the second pick. What would make me the happiest would be if MKG fell to 4 and we moved up from 24 to snag Ross, although I think Beal is BPA behind Davis.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
The point is, they have the same amount of winning seasons. Let me ask you a question, if the Indians only played eight home games a year, do you honesty believe those games wouldn't be at if not near capacity? Also, in terms of the records, both teams have been lousy over that ten year span, it's just that in the NFL the bad teams have really bad records. You will never see baseball teams win 25% of their games, which happens 4 or 5 times a year in the NFL. It's the different nature of the sports. Football is more conducive to larger variations in records, that's why it may seem like te Browns are so much worse.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
In the past ten years: Seasons over .500- Browns 2, Indians 2 Trips to the Playoffs- Browns 1, Indians 1 Let's not act like the Indians have been world beaters for a long time. Sure they've been marginally better than the Browns, but that also can be due to the inherent nature of baseball where winning percentages are more cluttered together.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
I disagree with Perez this time. It's terrible timing, considering the Indians have scored 5 runs in 4 games. The team has a run differential of almost -50 and if they were in any other division, they would be in third or worse. I dont blame the fans for not seeing the team. Dolan promised that they would spend when we are contending. If we aren't contending, why should the fans come? If we are contending, do kotchman, Damon, Lopez, and Lowe count as major improvements for a team that wants to win?

Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
Good news. Any idea at what the going rate would be? It says they will be high-end, but that area is still a deadzone after 5 pm.

Thanks for the pictures! The lighting looks awesome. Hopefully, it'll inspire more bold lighting around PS. Anybody have an idea what the minimums on the table games are going to be? Here in Philly, both Sugarhouse and Parx are $25, which, imo, is way too high.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
I'm just curious if this is the best use of our limited lakefront and if it maximizes the value of the lakefront. Couldn't a medical rehab facility be placed anywhere downtown and still attract the same clientele? I think I'm just misunderstanding the concept in general. Would this sports facility be open to the public?
