  1. That's what I'm saying! Sh-ts and giggles for sure.
  2. I'm sorry for coming up with this crap, so if it offends the sensibilities of the board, I would ask for the mods to delete the thread and strike me dead. Anyway, I'm thinking a pretty easy top 5 showing. I mean, who's got something for us? NY? CA? TX? Maybe. If each of the 50 states declared war on the other 49, I think Ohio would fare fairly well. We have a lot of determined people here, who know how to do a lot of different things...
  3. Wow, if I hadn't checked this thread, I'd still think that Morgens Hall was coming down. I saw it last week, and it's got the look... I tried to look a little closer yesterday as I drove past, and saw that the bases of the balconies were still there, on the East side of the building.
  4. Absolutely, this building should be saved, if for no other reason than as a monument/tribute to one of the greatest most industrious Cincinnatians ever.
  5. She's a diamond in the fringes of the rough.

For some people, the train itself is the only effective deterrent. If Joho had instead chosen to crash his car at 100+ miles per hour, and a wheel flew off and struck the woman, then perhaps his liability would be more apparent.

I don't think that it should be criminal, no. However, one aspect of the whole transplant process which needs to be finely scrutinized is the circumstances of how the organs are harvested. It's totally creepy to think about things like people being murdered for the purposes of profiting from the sale of their organs, or using organs from bodies riddled with disease or which haven't been properly stored, along with those which are of totally unknown origin. Unscrupulous procurers of organs will do some very inhumane things, in order to feed their greed. It is very analogous to the used auto parts industry. But while only major components from a car are labeled with a vehicle identification number, all human body parts can be identified by their DNA... I don't think I could bring myself to sell a kidney for any amount of money. After I'm dead however, they are up for grabs. I hope to never undergo any surgery...

Easing the availability of loans does no favors to anyone, except for the people who actually "sell" loans. Getting back to a somewhat related aspect of this thread: Are kids getting dumber? I don't think so. What is happening to them, is that they are more and more inundated with distractions which divert their attention from some of the things which we as adults deem important. My night job is in a pizza place in one of the ritzier 'burbs in North East Hamilton county. There are always a bunch of high school kids employed there, and I have watched them become less and less competent over the past few years, each wave (of kids) more worthless than the last. I blame cell phones. I have a friend who is approaching 60 Y.O.A., and he blames computers. I'm going with cell phones, because nearly everyone everywhere is distracted by these things, causing them to disrupt everything from the flow of vehicular traffic to the flow of pedestrian traffic to - oh wait, I just got a text message...

On either mode, there might be bedbugs to worry about, also. Jus' sayin'...

Well, the train has a track to help try to keep it on course in slippery weather, whereas a bus...

I ran naked with a drink because I love marijuana? I don't know what to say... So this must have been put together by reputable astrologists?

OK, I think I understand the concept of this thread, and I've got one: I never saw any reason for all of the hype over Quentin Tarantino's movies. It seemed like a giant bandwagon in the '90s. Maybe I'm just too obtuse to "get" what he's getting at, but I thought that the two films which I did see were too dependent on shock value, and not congruent with reality - as if they were the fantasies of an outsider. They both also followed the same formula to a tee.

If it's a high profile case, with incendiary levels of rabble-rousing controversy, then I'd say no. I would not want the "glory" even more than I wouldn't want to perform the duty...
  16. I'll second that. There is a lot to see here, and it's always changing...
  17. I'm guessing it was a success? I had to split after the Carew, but I enjoyed meeting all of you guys. :drunk:
  18. Maybe. I want to. It all depends upon when I wake up - I have to work late tonight. I know I've only just joined the site, but I've been following a few threads in the Southwest Ohio Construction forum for more than two years now.
  19. And again! This year's version appears to have been taken early enough in the year, that the trees didn't yet have many leaves, allowing us to see much more detail than in some of the previous years' images. Here is another site I like to play with: http://www.historicaerials.com/
