  1. That first pic is very cool, makes the city look bigger. Thanks for the pics.
  2. I sure missed a lot of these nice residential areas when I was in Zanesville. I too notice the little concrete stops. Must make mowing a pain in the neck  Thanks for the pics, always love to see the smaller cities.

I too would like to see more pics. I've been to Zanesville a couple of times (an old Navy buddy lives there), but I haven't explored the residential areas very much. Those houses look quite nice. Thanks.
  4. Ithaca is a bit smaller than Hamilton, but from what I've seen of these pics, there's 2 or 3 hoods in Ithaca wprse off than this. Even the boarded up retail doesn't look bad. There's no graffiti or vandalism that's visible. I suppose the projects might be a different story, but most of those residences shown look nice and there's green sppace in good shape too. Thanks for the pics and all the Hamilton tours. :-D

Part of the neighborhood I grew up in, Collegetown. It's Ithaca's second skyline. :-D

Obviously Ithaca, NY, and most times DC/Baltimore.

I was born and raised in Ithaca, but I haven't lived there in over 25 years. Go figure.
  8. How the heck did I miss this one? Great pics ColDay. I've wanted to visit this city for some time, and these pics make me want to visit it even more. Thanks for the tour.
  9. Much love for the OTR and your pics. Such a gritty but great hood in the heart of the city. btw, maybe you should put back that B you took from the sign. I understand the police are thinking about raiding the place.
  10. Guy Lombardo, heck I use to sing in his band. You're lucky this thread wasn't due at the library, there'd definately be a tardy fine. Fun tour all around. The only downer was the Kent State Memorial, I remeber that day very clearly - so sad. Thanks for the tour pope, now get back to the Vatican, it's almost time for mass.
  11. Love the old pics, and the Terminal Tower is a favorite of mine. Thanks for the pics.
  12. Hubba-hubba, that's hot stuff. Oh God, I need to start drinking again.

You Go Rob. Isn't it great to be able to get some fun toys in the later years and not have to answer to anyone about it? 30 year old sweaters are cool.

I drove through Findlay a couple of years ago, and I thought the downtown was kinda nice. Thanks for reminding me about why I liked it. Nice pics. :-D
  15. Beautiful pics PigBoy. Dayton is looking might urban in those shots. I think the clutter look of all the wires kind of adds to the hustle and bustle feel (even if only in my perception). You had me after that first pic, it's a dandy. Thanks.

Whoa, that is some kind of dense, urban rascal right there. Nice shot OTRFAN, thanks.
  17. Great example of urban Jersey that's still active. Sad to say I haven't been in Newark in about 40 years. Maybe a weekend trip is in order. Great shots mrnyc, thanks. btw, when are they gonna install sidewalks like the ones in Rio?

Well thanks for putting that image in head Rob. :-o
  19. Very cool pics. The color brings the heartache of those days to life. B/W can make a bleak situation seem bleeker, but I love these pics. Thanks for sharing your find RiverView.

    ^ OK, that 'splains it.
  21. Stunning building. Great pics MayDay, thanks. I was wondering if the top floor was a later addition. Kinda looks like one of those.

  24. Impressive structures and fun tour Ink. I too like the old industrial gems. harkens back to the blue collar age so much of this country was involved in. Thanks for the pics.
