  1. It's true! I was there. Neighborhood activist & booster Tim Jeckering spoke. He is a past community council president & involved with the business assoc & runs the biennial porch tour and and and He is also an architect & challenged the developers to make a quality, rock solid place that will look good well into the future. He was also the only speaker I could hear. 19, 5 & 12 were there.
  2. They were also saying that nobody would want the name Washington which is weird since he's like kinda one of those founder guys???
  3. Saw this on a TP FB page
  4. The Cinti area has 50,560 foreign owned companies , up from 28,320 in 1991. The top five industries that house these jobs locally are motor vehicle parts, basic chemicals, general purpose machinery, health and personal care stores, and machinery wholesalers. The owners of those firms are predominantly based in Japan (21.2 percent), Germany (14.4 percent), England (10.3 percent), France (8.7 percent) and Switzerland (6.1 percent). http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2014/06/23/heres-how-many-jobs-foreign-companies-have-added.html?page=all

  14. Has anybody contended with NextDoor's maps? You'd think they'd just use what the city provides but they let/make the first person to join draw the map. https://www.nextdoor.com/
  15. I'd say they are more likely thralls to the whores of Westwood & CO . This is getting off topic but here's some poo on CMHA since some folks seem kinda confused http://www.cincinnati.com/story/opinion/editorials/2014/06/21/editorial-fix-section/11207429/
  16. Dude, first you complain about the problems that arose from arbitrary boundaries (which is not valid) and then you come up with a solution that absolutely draws arbitrary boundaries & tosses out decades of tradition. Look at the issues to this day that arose from colonial Europe's meddling in North Africa & the Middle East. Sounds like a solution for a problem that doesn't exist. Dunno what that's got to do with the business community. The fact is, that scheme would hand the city, strongly Democrat over to non city Republicans. It would totally emasculate the black voters of Cincinnati. Business shmusiness - it's a racial/political non-starter.

yeah, I think I will just go to the grocery...
  19. A really strange comment from an out of towner who is trying to recreate an old sub neighborhood. It's really a shame how Charlie Luken & Valerie Lemmie eviscerated the community councils. they were almost semi kinda quasi governmental bodies that had a lot of dialogue between the cities & the hoods. The neighborhoods, also, are not completely arbitrary. Maybe some of the slicing & dicing but that's no big deal.
  20. um, yeah, like Cincinnati
