  2. I hope this makes Mr Mandel feel good because it won't accomplish a thing other than, maybe alienating some businesses that employ people in Ohio. There is a lot of packaging work done for Nestle in Ohio.

I don't see how that has any relevance to this discussion. The point is that Starbucks's message was an insult, not a compliment. please explain

cool I have read 19th century descriptions of the night sky in the midwest that sound like a modern description of the night sky in the south west.

That quote made me think of the old saying about god helps those who help themselves. anyway, if the lady had gotten a cup with some sort of pro catholic quote on it - I doubt she would be complaining that religion should be left out of the discussion.
  6. What a surprise, CCV are liars.
  7. 10-10 mon-sat It is the place that used to be on Winton. Just got a Calzone about the size of a polar bear liver & I liked it.
  8. Javier's is good but you pretty much need to work downtown to go there since they are not open evenings and weekends. That hellhole in Tower Place, Margarita's, is terrible. There used to be taco/burrito stands along the street in LA that were more akin to Mr Pig's. Those are the places I am looking for.
  9. What we need are low end Mexican diners. Like a Mexican Tuckers.

She let you beat her. It is compassionate conservativism in action.
  11. This is sad news. The guy obviously had been in bad shape for a while. His cooking or his recipes were good but his business style was anything but corporate America. :-) I had no idea he was so young.
  12. ^"Some aspects of the new proposal were revealed Wednesday by Pepper and Commissioner Todd Portune. More details will be given during public hearings May 16 and May 23. Locations will be announced." Anybody know where these hearings will be ?

  15. ^ http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=5574.msg173649#msg173649 You said (about a month ago): "Unfortunately Metro doesn't take me where I need to go on a daily basis (UC's campus)......"
  16. I recently took the 51 to scenic Oakley. Man, that route will give a driver a workout !
  17. Rando, none of these routes do you ny good ? Even augmented with a bicycle ? (yeah, it is a gamble counting on an open bike rack space in mild months)
  18. That fool doesn't even represent Sharonville.
  19. Nixon could construct a sentence, too. He was actually a politician & a statesman. I don't know what Bush is.
  20. I think they have recently changed the menu.
  21. ^Forbidden Wonder what the retail rent is like.
  22. A place called Portofino's has finally opened in Northside. There was a place with the same name on Winton Rd. (?) that met with some acclaim. Dunno if this is the same place or not. They have a MySpace page here: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=179872450 The place looks ok. I have no idea what their hours are. It is on Chase - west of Hamilton on the south side just behind the pharmacy.

Dunno about that but I liked her. As a "weak" mayor, she offered leadership & direction. Moreso than subsequent "strong" mayors.
