I waited for the bus from 9:45-10:05 this morning, which is definitely longer than typical. Once they start picking up school kids, everything goes to Hades. As a tradesman I went in earlier than the brats, you could set your watch by the morning buses around 7AM afternoon... argh....

I don't know the capacity but it's the big lidded, wheeled grappling ready cans for both trash & recycling. The workers usually don't use the grappling trucks for the trash, tho & just pull the bags out of the trash can by hand leaving behind anything loose.

Loved the episode of the Anthony Bourdain show in Cleveland where he went to watch surfers in the winter.

Bradley Kincaid, not a native Ohioan but settled here in the 50s? He introduced a lot of folks nationwide to bluegrass & folk. He played The Grand ol Opry. His music store in Springfield opened in 1955. While I bought it secondhand, that's where my TBird came from :-)

the bigger & faster the vehicle, the more predictable. Semis on highways are about the most likely to go a straight line, peds & cyclists, especially the slow ones, are the most unpredictable & least likely to maintain a straight line. Most people would probably think riding on a highway with a lot of trucks is the most frightening thing in the world but it's probably one of the safest places to ride. OTOH, sidewalks.....

The recording was produced by a band member's uncle, Jimmy Crain from Lima who worked on the Springfield police force after his musical career fizzled out. Jimmy recorded Shig a Shag around 1957. The Lodestar single was pressed by Rite Records in Cincinnati or Evendale or something...
