Cincinnati: Local Media News & Discussion
I'm not even putting this in the streetcar thread because it is just so guano crazy. http://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/i-team/cincinnati-streetcar-critics-streetcar-will-cause-accidents-deaths WCPO informs of the dangers of the streetcar - apparently drivers run into these things and die. Brinkman? check They even dragged out tongue tied Michael Patton. Wonder why these guys haven't come out against buildings & guard rails...

au contraire. That was a major factor in my moving to Porktown. Bogart's & Riverfront.- Cincinnati: Downtown: Heritage Bank Center
yeah, the concert thing is bugging me, too, but I will admit to being pretty out of it regarding what's popular. I have looked at tour schedules for some time now & nobody comes even close. They skip all of Ohio, Indiana & Kentucky usually. Bruce Springsteen seems like what Riverbend would get - boring old farts. I just figured the problem was local promoters - not the facility.- Favorite Music At The Moment?

Quimbob replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentI think the whole boom box thing was more about a techno fad than anything to do with music. At some point people realized that lugging those things around & keeping batteries charged was just a PITA. That & you were pretty much just broadcasting, "rip me off rip me off".- Springfield Masonic Lodge tour video

I've seen young healthy people go from one stop to the next. and pay cash- Towers of Ohio's Midsize (and smaller) Cities
dmerkow asked, in 2008, "Fascinating, it would interesting to hear the stories of how those got built. What was going on that people thought that those towns would benefit from that level of capital investment." I forget when Credit Life started. For a while, they were in the Guardian Bank building on Limestone across from the Regent theater. Going way back there was a cafeteria there. But I digress... Later they built the building at Limestone & High on the SE corner. The place was a real boy's club - think Madmen. They were growing like crazy and when the city decided to demolish downtown, they bought a corner for their sleek black tower. I don't know if they even moved in - the company just kinda imploded. For a while it just sat unfinished. The downtown really sucked for awhile. Clark State took over the building at Limestone & High. I think they moved into the black building, too. The newspaper recently moved into the building.- Towers of Ohio's Midsize (and smaller) Cities
