Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
no Cranley wants to spend $20M more on police & borrow $100M to put into the pension fund as well. So, it would be a bit more. And even more if he expands trash collection. This is the face of TEA.

...was Cranley running as a D but was really an R? Cranley appears to be the first Republican mayor since 1971

I said a while back that a boycott of the Enquirer should have been organized. That paper is a major reason for Cincinnati's lack of progress. City Beat reported their circulation has dropped again. I'd say the thing is pretty much boycotted as is.

Porktowners really seem to like their theatrics, too. Cranley, Smitherman & Winburn, all top vote getters, are all bombastic & theatrical. PG's just a cutie.

I think Qualls wanted it - it's just a personality thing. Qualls was kind of a Spock & Cranley was kind of a Kirk. Pople like the more emotional crap.

LOL, Sittenfeld got more raw votes than Cranley. This town is insane. Qualls narrowly edged out Slitherman behind Winburn, Mann, Simpson & Seelbach

I heard some descriptions of Issue 4 on the TV news today. Swear they could have been written by 8 year olds. Glad the Business Courier is going to take politics a bit more seriously - I mean it's them & an entertainment weekly. hah, an entertainment weekly, something the Fishwarp couldn't even do.

Cranley & this crew could send the city into fiscal emergency. The streetcar, even if finished & started, will likely get shut down as Cincinnati's fiscal woes get worse. Cranley? Smitherman? Winburn? The Cincinnati voters should have added Noble, Malone & Wegman just to hurry things up.

That probably came from Booth's switch (what's the bible say about that?) http://thecincinnatiherald.com/news/2013/nov/04/former-naacp-president-paul-booth-endorse-john-cra/ Didn't realize the Good Samaritan was a pathological liar, but whaddIknow?

What makes you say that? I have not seen who is actually ahead. Most believe a low turnout favors Cranley heavily Low info Dems are usually the first to slack off. Republicans generally are attributed to being the best voters. I would guess low info Dems would vote Cranley, so a 100% turnout would probably favor Cranley over just a race between Republicans & high info Dems I wonder how many Reps will just sit it out. The loons won't, and that's about all you hear from nowadays. Some Tease might just vote for Rep council members & issue 4. Doesn't issue 4 prevent the city from borrowing money o pay down the pension deficit - one of Cranky's big promises?

We'll have to get Ohio Voter Integrity Project on that.

Most rational people understand that it is happening and can't be stopped. I don't hear anybody going b4t5h1t crazy over it except for the COAST / tea party types. I've heard mostly negative fom the College Hilligans but it's a pretty small sampling.

I've been pleasantly surprised with her. She's done a lot more to create jobs than the moron with the jobs creation committee.

Tremont City Landfill
Tremont City landfill cleanup plan questioned A key scientist with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency said Monday he can’t find another site in the nation that’s been cleaned up the way the federal government is now proposing to clean up a toxic waste dump near Springfield’s water supply. The U.S. EPA would remove liquid waste but leave behind solid waste at the Tremont City Barrel Fill — a turnabout that has officials and residents concerned that the aquifer that serves as the sole source of water for 82,000 people would still be at risk of contamination. http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/news/local/tremont-city-landfill-cleanup-plan-questioned/nbhLw/
