They have to look like they are contributing. I worked at a place where they were always mucking around with stuff without the customers input. later, when they started on software development, they just kept doing the same thing.

I don't understand people getting hung up on "likes". I guess the fact that most people hate me leaves me kinda biased... FB's autofinish is getting berserk. I liked a book called The Big Truck That Went By (about how foreign aid to Haiti has pretty much complerely missed the mark) and when I typed the word, "that" into a FB comment, it wanted to insert the dang book title. goofy forincators...

Cincinnati: Mayor John Cranley
It's hard to tell with Livingston. He was also adamant that his boss, Ken Lawson, didn't do dope. Lawson later admitted he was doped to the gills for years. That said, I've never understood why the local Dems fawn over this family so much. I think it was Livingston who argued Alicia never really lived in Cincinnati while on council - that she just used a room in her dad's motel to qualify as a resident. When it comes to corruption in the 2 major parties in Hamilton County, nothing would surprise me.

Cincinnati Enquirer
I think, as a follow up to their bizarre endorsement of Cranley for mayor that read like the justifications of an abused spouse to stay with her abuser, the 'Warp offers this article that kinda says, "don't worry, nothing's going to change no matter who gets elected" That paper is getting more like The Village Enquirer every day. Reversing a city's fortunes takes more than 1 election http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20131103/NEWS0106/311030024/Reversing-city-s-fortunes-takes-more-than-1-election

Springfield tourism is smokin' Fairborn... holy crap, for a man of words, his use of "uh" & "um" is pretty amazing I think the notion of Cranky "shooting from the hip" is very important. He would have a lot more entertainment value.- Cincinnati City Council

- Cincinnati: Mayor John Cranley
One of the editors was interviewed on WVXU yesterday regarding the Enquirer endorsement. His responses to questions about the reasoning behind the endorsement were filled with long pauses, "um...", and "well..." as he tried to find a way to justify the paper's position. It basically boiled down to the paper not liking the current administration and viewing Qualls as an extension of that administration, so they just picked Cranley because he's different. The major strength they cited was that he's "energetic", for whatever that's worth. He also said that the opinion split in the Enquirer office over the Cranley/Qualls endorsement "wasn't even close", so that should tell you how out of touch that paper is with its readers. The interview is probably online, but I can't access wvxu.org from the office. The Enquirer is Republican - Cranley is the Republican choice. it's really simple.- Cincinnati: Mayor John Cranley
Best line from the article: "Since TV news has all but ignored the mayoral race in favor of its usual, steady diet of out-of-context murder, mayhem and teachers having sex with students, it seems to me Qualls will have to buy TV ads pointing out these stories for voter awareness to reach critical mass."- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News

It primarily points out that Cranky can't shuffle money & contracts around, that road paving has to go through it's own bidding process. State law requires cities pay for what contractors have ordered Like the 3C money kasich wanted for other stuff, the money would just go elsewhere - whatever the city has spent would have to be returned. It takes a number of Cranky's points & pretty much obliterates them.- Cincinnati City Council

My parents were raised on jazz in the 30s & 40s. They really liked the acid rock for the improvisation. They really liked The Grateful dead & The Pink Floyds. This really messed with the rebel in me. They even liked The Who. PTL I finally found the MC5.- Dayton: Restaurant News & Info
