Cincinnati: Mayor John Cranley
I gotta give City Bleat some credit considering it's about the only non-Republican media outlet in town. It's pretty much them against the Fishwarp, Fear Channel Radio & all the TV stations. As outrageous as those clowns get, CB might as well make up some pics of Cranley eating puppies.

As long as they don't pre-empt Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. All I want to hear from Mallory is if his trips to China have borne any fruit. They are supposed to be investing $15-$20B/year in the US over the next 10 years - will he get any of that investment here?

Cincinnati: Evolution and Changing Perceptions of Urban Neighborhoods
Cincinnati is a city on the rise Visiting Cincinnati (Music Hall) Sunday evening, this long-time suburban resident cannot help but be struck by the dichotomy of downtown. Recently remodeled, now fully occupied residential buildings, a revitalized Washington Park, the still bright looking SCPA, new hotels, The Banks, construction of the dunnhumblyUSA complex, sparkling retail store fronts and laying of track for a trolley system a casino already, attest to endless efforts by many individuals and organizations committed to what was once a declining inter-city. more http://cincinnati.com/blogs/letters/2013/10/29/cincinnati-is-a-city-on-the-rise/

Ohio Voting / Voter ID Law
The CO voter harassment continues The intimate conversation they cite is pretty pathetic “How is your Korean?” Faux asked. “Just so so,” Simes said. “I know some phrases and can read/write very slowly.” They're obviously best buds... http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2013/10/28/group-goes-to-court-to-try-to-strike.html

Historic Photos
There was a hippie music club around Taft & Vine around 1970 called The Dome or Black Dome or something. A lot of touring acts played there before The Ludlow Garage came along. Dunno if it was in the building with the Jordan billboard or not.

One of the commenters at fishwar.com lists a bunch of their endorsements. This one seems a lot like their endorsement of ken Blackwell for governor. They endorsed kasich, too & were suing him within weeks of the election.

After the WCPO article came out, Qualls dismissed the SM comments about Cranley while Cranley embraced the SM comments about Qualls. That says something.

Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
Quimbob replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentWant to drink in the street? You may soon be able to Bill taps open-container law as way to get development brewing A growing number of cities nationwide, including Memphis, Louisville and Montgomery, Ala., allow people to openly drink on the streets, a la New Orleans, to encourage economic development. Now, a bipartisan “open container” bill giving that option to Ohio cities is given a good chance of passage in coming months. Sponsoring state Sen. Eric Kearney, a North Avondale Democrat, is tweaking it after a committee hearing, with a committee vote likely late this year or when the General Assembly returns in March. http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artikkel?NoCache=1&Dato=20131025&Kategori=BIZ01&Lopenr=310250049&Ref=AR
