  10. It's funny, you can post pictures of D buildings, D World, D Land but not say the word. It's like not being able to discuss sex but being able to post porn.
  11. Was in LA around Christmas time (late December for you heathens) once & went up into the hills to search for snow. When I looked down at the city & saw it sitting in a brown cloud I really considered just staying on the hill. bleah - people jog there? Mr Dayman, did you go inside the Theater? I liked that more than the outside. oh yeah, the snow was gross, too. forgot this site censors Disney. The Dizzknee Theater.
  12. well, that's not surprising. If Sam Malone did the same thing, he'd probably come out on top.

  17. Given the streetcar's inability to attract private investment & the Freedom Center's inability to be self sufficient, I would imagine most Cincinnatians would be pretty skeptical of the Hopper's' claims.

  19. NASA boosts links with local tech firms Director of research center makes six stops in Springfield and Dayton. Figuring out how manufacturers, tech companies and universities connected with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Cleveland’s NASA’s Glenn Research Center can help one another in an era of sequestration is a complex question. But in a stop a Springfield’s NextEdge technology park, the first on a day-long tour of Miami Valley, James M. Free, director of the NASA facility, said they won’t have to reinvent either the wheel or the airplane to do so. http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/news/local/nasa-boosts-links-with-local-tech-firms/nZZYc/

If you quit having people pay into the system cold turkey, the city has to pay the gap for existing receivers & future receivers of the pension plan. it would actually make the gap worse & require more money from the city than the current system. A gradual moving away from the pension system would be best but thee's no pretty way to do it. City negotiators of the past have probably made the pension plan to plush but that would take a time machine to fix. Most of the current gap comes not from city donations but the recent market collapse. The city had an independent committee look this over & their report was complicated. The people proposing this amendment have been clear - they have not put much thought into it.

People who don't pay any attention to what they're doing when using the phone - not paying attention when dialing & not paying attention & standing around BSing with the people in the room and ignoring the person they just intruded upon.
