There used to be some good dining in Yellow Springs. There's Young's, of course. Dunno if Robert's is still open in Urbana. There's a good Greek place on E Main in Springfield. There's a 7/8 scale hotel in downtown Springfield that might be kinda cool if you can get a room facing the city. Bellefontaine (Bell-fown-tun) has one of the oldest concrete roads in the state/country. Springfield also has a summer arts festival in Cliff/Veterans Park. I have no idea what the schedule is. You missed the Clark County Fair but you might be able to hit Champagne. heck, when's the state fair?

They have sheets listing notable corpses with their location info & they have maps showing the different areas in the front office. You can also search online using their "find a loved one" thingie. The cemetery historian os Phil Nuxhall. He might have some interesting poo for the tours. I'm hoping to go, natininja[/member] will you be there in a ninja outfit?

I'm not seeing that. If Larry, Curly & Moe want to sit around & shoot up & only have one syringe, they will share the syringe. Larry won't shoot up, hand the syringe to Curly, who will go to the exchange place, return, shoot up & hand the used syringe to Moe who will go down to the exchange place, get a new syringe, go back home, etc.... If they do, they will probably just shoot up in the nearby cemetery. Furthermore, if there's a bunch of discarded syringes lying around, it indicates the users aren't worried about finding another for their next fix. Maybe kids can go around and collect the discarded syringes & turn them in for new ones and then sell them.

Caracole & Cincinnati Exchange Program aim to run a needle exchange program in Northside with a 6 month test time OK'd by the Northside Community Council. Apparently it will be run out of one of those mobile medical bus / vans near the SPCA. I really don't know if there is any point to this. When they did this in the 70s, syringes were harder to come by. People used to affix old needles to eyedroppers with rubber bands. I think you can order them online now & have them delivered to your door. The users will know that the cops will know who they are & what they are doing if they are seen entering the van. I would assume this would scare users off. Anyway, I guess the idea is to rope some of the users into rehab. um, actually, since the riots, some goofball from Green Township got on the CMHA & started dumping Sec 8 on Hyde Park while keeping it out of Green Township. He was replaced, CMHA was told to even things up they way they were supposed to. Mary & Melva have been crying about section 8 being forced down their throats but studies of CMHA owned housing have indicated the housing is spread about fairly evenly. When the people of Westwood & Price Hill sold their homes to slumlords more might have moved in but that's not a city issue. The residents of these west side neighborhoods only have their old neighbors to blame for their plight. and CMHA is not a city organization...

While the alternative Cincinnati history I'm getting in this thread is certainly entertaining, I really HOPE Price Hill is finally rebounding.
