Mississippi River Traffic Halted by Drought
Looks like problems still exist. A section of the Mississippi River is so low that much of the navigation along the river could grind to a halt in less than a month, the owner of a Washington County shipping company says. A summerlong drought left 180 miles of the Mississippi between St. Louis and Cairo, Ill., so low that it could cut off the Upper Mississippi from the river’s lower section. That section of the Mississippi could be unnavigable by Dec. 10. ------ Although officials say traffic on the Ohio and lower Mississippi rivers is not disrupted, they point out that the threatened part of the Mississippi is part of a system. http://triblive.com/news/allegheny/2949493-74/mississippi-river-low-traffic-waterways-levels-lower-ohio-president-section#axzz2D4qtdDuo

Is This How The End Begins?
UFO Sightings Daily now reports that giant cubic entities that resemble the "Borg Cubes" in the Star Trek science fiction series are orbiting the Sun, and could soon head toward Earth. If one combines the beliefs of the ancient Pagan Gnostics with the Luciferian Liberation Front’s interpretation of the Bible and a 2011 report to UFO Sightings Daily, one has to conclude that GOD is orbiting the sun in the form of a giant cube. In this case, however, GOD stands for Galactic Obliteration Device. Revelations, chapter 22…… http://www.agoracosmopolitan.com/news/headline_news/2012/11/23/4929.html

Apparently. She had no custody of the kids. Had theft, drug, OVR charges and more. I didn't know my neighbor had a side job until an officer told us about it. I'd be leery of saying she was a prostitute without being sure but you're probably right. Think this was just turf BS?

ploddy plod plodding along..... 'Nuisance’ Arcade costing taxpayers Windows in 1 of 5 buildings pose danger because glazing is failing. “I feel extremely bad about the windows, but I think someone is trying to take advantage of us,” said Berg, referring to the city’s glazing estimate. “If the city contacts us and tells us we have to glaze the windows, we will do it, but not for $120,000." Records obtained by the Dayton Daily News show the city’s Department of Building Services sent Berg letters on May 5 and Aug. 31, regarding the windows. http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/news/nuisance-arcade-costing-taxpayers/nTB8c/

The Fishwarp reports Cranley is running for mayor. Is Smitherman? I caught a bit of one of his local access shows the other night & he was in prime form. He mentioned somebody running for office & sang "hell yeah" repeatedly while engaging in increasingly exaggerated gestures that approached dancing. http://cincinnati.com/blogs/politics/2012/11/14/cranley-makes-it-official-hes-running-for-mayor/

Cincinnati: West End: CityLink Center
CityLink set to open. Still sounds like they are in hopey changey mode. The article is odd, too, citing their responsibility in neighbors painting their homes. That they claim to be set to open and still say: "Up to 600 volunteers will be needed." doesn't instill much confidence. http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20121112/NEWS01/311120143/

Boise, Idaho
I wSas there a zillion years ago. The stream that ran through town had lots of tubers. I remember seeing a movie there. Not sure if it was the theater pictured. There were a large number of Asian graves there & people watered their lawns by flooding them when they could. There were little canals through the neighborhoods. per Robert's comments about being gay friendly - doesn't Idaho still have the sodomy laws making homosexuality illegal?
