  1. ^I get this Kiplinger weekly newsletter thing. It sez gas prices will remain above $3.75 with occasional spikes over $4.00 in 2013.
  2. Sillyman used the Politics 101 thing in his community access "courses" all the time. Wonder why he quit doing them. I guess everybody knows everything since he got elected. Why don't streetcar supporters use community access cable?
  3. the "swastika" is also called a fylfot cross. It's got occult meaning out the wazoo. yeah, Deadwood was a tourist place but small time. The bar where Bill got shot was one floor & when I was there a passed out biker was AOK. Now they serve seafood & stuff. WTF? Scenic is a teeny tiny "town" on the edge of the Badlands S of Rapid and, if you see it, you will see some outdoor jail cells. They were made in Cleveland.
  4. College Hill's Marty's Hops & Vines adds subs & pizza http://cincinnati.com/blogs/newintown/2012/09/06/martys-hops-vines-debuts-new-menu/
  5. I visited Deadwood around 1981 & again around 2008. The difference was amazing. I think I liked the old version better. Did you visit Scenic?
  6. A Northside favorite for years, Boswell's is set to reopen in time for the September Second Saturday. http://www.soapboxmedia.com/devnews/082812boswellsalley.aspx
  7. ^:-) ^^because of the way the street is routed & the way the sidewalk is routed, I'd say Urbana is more of a square than an intersection. Maybe a square outline, but.....
  8. Springfield's industrial albatross..... Looking for modern uses for this building Does converting it into a parking garage sound feasible/practical?
  9. As long as there's no procreation.
  10. The city will likely spend up to $267,000 to operate the air traffic control tower at the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport for another year in hopes of attracting drone businesses and bringing a new mission to the Springfield Air National Guard Base. An operating tower is especially critical to securing a training mission for the 445th Airlift Wing Air Force Reserve based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, city leaders said. http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/news/local-military/city-tower-costs-needed-to-lure-jobs-military-miss/nRQm9/
  11. bingo I honestly don't see a reason for a streetcar line anywhere else in the city. The basin has the potential for high density mixed use development that will give a return in tax revenue. The Clifton route has nothing more to offer. You could just run more frequent buses.
  12. Why doesn't he use the Indianapolis trolley bus as a model?
  13. Cheviot's Black Sheep on Spike's Bar Rescue http://www.spike.com/full-episodes/22sfp1/bar-rescue-broke-black-sheep-season-2-ep-206 I ate there once & did not die.
  14. Josh Mandel Brings New Brand of Dishonesty Congratulations are in order for Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel. As part of his U.S. senatorial campaign, Mandel, a Republican, has earned his sixth “Pants on Fire” rating from fact-checking website PolitiFact. http://citybeat.com/cincinnati/article-26031-josh-mandel-brings-new-brand-of-dishonesty.html
  15. ^^^^not gonna read the comments, I'm sure it's all 'blame the victim' BS ^^Was looking around this AM, there's some predawn light People have a tendency to move towards light/movement, the driver might have seen reflectors, especially pedal reflectors, not known what he was looking at & veered towards the cyclist.
  16. SoDown.org launched http://www.sodown.org/ SoDown CDC was formed and incorporated in 2011 and has applied for its 501©(3) nonprofit status with the Internal Revenue Service. We are dedicated to the revitalization of the neighborhoods that are situated across the street from the former South High School to old Keifer Junior High to new Fulton Elementary School neighborhoods . The area and its member streets are some of the oldest in Springfield, nevertheless many dilapidated homes in the area are in need of major repair and business growth has been hampered.

Westboro Baptist Church doesn't deserve COA T
  22. Maybe she interviewed Tom Luken. Seriously, think of the names of people the media has associated with this debate & who would you interview? This is a failure of supporters who have clearly seen the media whoring that opponents have used so successfully.
  23. America the Undertaxed there's just a snippet of the article for free - basically it says certain tax rates in the U.S. might be higher than other countries but the other countries tax stuff the U.S. doesn't so comparing things like 'top corporate tax rates' isn't too useful. http://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/137838/andrea-louise-campbell/america-the-undertaxed?cid=soc-tumblr-in-essays-america_the_undertaxed-082312

Has Finney followed the lead of the great master Chabot & taken to living in his office, which, I'm still thinking isn't in Cincinnati....
