Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
Business leaders launch Brent Spence campaign Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky business leaders have formally launched a public-education and lobbying campaign aimed at shaving five to 10 years off the current construction timeline for a Brent Spence Bridge replacement. http://www.buildournewbridgenow.com/ "“I do cross that bridge multiple times a day,” {Julie Janson} said. “It isn’t just the commute. The very fragility of that span, one little thing goes wrong and I’m sitting there for an hour, two hours. What is your time worth?”" Dunno if she is planning some kind of self healing bridge or what. heck I-75 comes to a screeching halt from Dayton, OH to Walton, KY if there's a single accident anywhere..... http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2012/05/07/business-leaders-launch-brent-spence.html?ana=e_du_pub&s=article_du&ed=2012-05-07

Is there any design type plan for the car barn? Is Cincinnati looking to imitate some other city's barn? It'd be nice if they could use a core & use the streetsides for retail, etc.

The UrbanCincy Podcast
It kinda appears to just be "The Spot" now. In the 80s & 90s it was called "The Two JBs Presents the Spot". There might have even been an apostrophe in JBs. Anyway, I believe the management was music related. hmmm It's across the street & a couple doors down from the Imperial Theater.

Dayton: General Business & Economic News
I see Speedway as a gas station first whereas convenience stores that sell gas I see as, well, that. Maybe it's just a distinction I perceive. The Speedway ads for pizza just seem bizarre.

UrbanOhio in the news
I found it looking for city history crap. It's been mentioned that a lot of students find it, similarly. As there is a lot of discussion comparing Ohio cities to other cities in the US & beyond, it seems like Ohio news people should be looking at the site. -especially given their budget cuts & their laying off senior reporters.....

Favorite Music At The Moment?
no, not a favorite just a recording by an Ohio band, Lodestar from Springfield, OH from the mid 70s. http://www.box.com/shared/ap1yf1u1i7 I believe Lodestar was the name of an IH truck. Maybe it was Loadstar. The band was produced by Jimmy Crain, a Spfld cop who had a brief rockabilly career when he was younger. It was recorded by a Cincinnati company, Carl Burkardt's Rite, but released under some other name. The song would be better if it was about 1 minute long.....
