^If the poltergeist activity doesn't scare everybody off. An underground garage in an old cemetery? Setting off car alarms, falls, dresses caught in car doors, stuck keys... we'll see- Making Cemeteries Relevant

Anybody have the exact address of the building the city wants for the maintenance depot? I used to walk down Henry every day. It is a hotbed of hookerism. It actually IS a good place to work. The cops certainly ignore it. The building owner wanting more money is the biggest problem I see in revitalizing OTR - worthless absentee slumlords waiting to collect big on what is, apparently, trash to them.- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
The advertising on airplanes is in the magazines in the little pouches on the backs of seats. Metro has some kind of rule against public service ads because somebody got miffed about STD prevention ads or something sexual, I forget what. They could have a lot more ad revenue if that dumbass rule were lifted. O don't think the impaired visibility from wraps will be a big issue on the streetcar because the rides will be so short.- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I don't think they let him drive anymore. When he forgot about a TV interview awhile ago, producers called him & he said he couldn't get a ride to the station. altho he has a bus stop right outside his condo (for the help) & the station is on a bus line & he sat on the SORTA board for years - he couldn't get a ride.....- COAST
Th guys who lie through their teeth on Twitter & sued the state for the right to lie, endorse a website, Words Matter, because they are so concerned about the (their) truth. http://coast-usa.blogspot.com/2012/04/words-matter-launches-new-website.html- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News

"The Talk" - nonblack version http://takimag.com/article/the_talk_nonblack_version_john_derbyshire/print#disqus_thread#ixzz1rT0dCsso I guess this was originally published in The National Review & the author has subsequently been fired. "There is much talk about “the talk.” “Sean O’Reilly was 16 when his mother gave him the talk that most black parents give their teenage sons,” Denisa R. Superville of the Hackensack (NJ) Record tells us." "There is a talk that nonblack Americans have with their kids, too. My own kids, now 19 and 16, have had it in bits and pieces as subtopics have arisen. If I were to assemble it into a single talk, it would look something like the following."- Cincinnati Photo Contest
I am not affiliated with this at all, just passing the info along 'cause I thought maybe some of the photographers might be interested http://www.wlwt.com/ulocal/30825604/detail.html "WLWT, Great American Insurance Group and Graeter's want you to show us your favorite Tri-State landmarks. Each day, we'll give you a new assignment. You can take a new photo or upload a photo that you've already taken. An owner is seeking a zoning change to, presumably, start a Bed & Breakfast - right across the street from a high school. Seems like a weird place to go & relax. It's on high street across from Catholic Central. It's near some nice places including the Westcott house but, still..... Wouldn't surprise me if he was just trying to get a zoning variance to follow the fine tradition of breaking up houses into Section 8 efficiencies. http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/springfield-news/historic-home-may-become-neighborhoods-first-bed-and-breakfast-1355703.html- Pet Peeves!

Dayton home prices rise 2nd-fastest in U.S. "Home prices in the Dayton metro area were among the fast-growing in the nation in the past four months, second only to the Phoenix area, according to a new report released today. The Dayton area, which saw home prices rise 6.3 percent, far outpaced other metro areas in Ohio, including the Cincinnati-Middletown metro area, which saw prices fall 1.3 percent, according to Clear Capital’s quarterly Home Data Index of single-family home and condo sales." more: http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/dayton-news/dayton-home-prices-rise-2nd-fastest-in-u-s--1355371.html- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Whenever the side of your front wheel runs along something, you go down pretty quick. Old railroad tracks were a PITA because the pavement around them would get lumpy & one would not want to hit them at 90 degrees but you wouldn't want to hit them at too soft an angle either. This was one of my first complaints about the streetcar but after seeing how the rails are installed, I realized I had no idea what to expect as it's like nothing I've encountered. Frankly, I avoid riding in front of Muzak Hull just because of the rough ride over the bricks..... - Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Washington Park
