Pat Buchanan's Suicide of a Superpower basically 400+ pages of "white Christians need to pray & screw more". Dunno why he didn't have the type set in all caps. & Eric Voeglin's 1952 The New Science of Politics Gotta look up words in English, Greek & Latin several times per page - yeesh Picked up a beginners Latin book, too but it's not getting much attention yet.

  7. I basically draw the good / bad line at Chase & divide between north & south (south being worse). Kinda surprised me when I heard people divide east & west... Northside could really benefit from more attractive & less polluting streetlights.

Cap'n Spaulding in action (NSFW - Language) whaddya mean - you don;t like clowns?
  9. ^East side always seemed better to me overall (there's always pockets) Burying power lines requires modern electric in all the buildings & probably a majority of owners can't afford the upgrade. I like the power lines in the business district but not in the residential areas. More & more of the corner stores that have been re-zoned residential are getting made over residential. For a weird area of Northside - go east on Glenn Parker & roam.

  23. From The American Conservative's Center for Public Transportation: "We at The American Conservative Center for Public Transportation believe that our dependence on foreign oil is a continuing major risk that imperils our national security and ultimately our economy. Transit, especially rail transit, can provide the mobility alternatives that we need to help reduce our reliance on foreign oil." & "All of our institutions are geared to an era that was designed for a different set of circumstances that mainly relied on cheap domestic oil. That day is over. We need to realize it and embrace a future that recognizes that fact. That future must include public transportation, especially rail." http://www.theamericanconservative.com/cpt/2012/03/06/our-view-on-the-price-of-oil/

While Casey's food was resoundingly forgettable, it was a local weekend favorite.
