Dayton to Cincinnati Commute
I worked with a girl who commuted from Kettering to OTR for over 10 years& was generally ok with it but having to go around/thru Dayton every day at rush hour is a different matter that even she acknowledged. She also claimed to have met quite a few people who did the general commute.

Evans City, PA Cemetery Chapel Preservation
This small cemetery chapel was in the background in the opening scene of Night of the Living Dead. Now fans & one of the movie's production crew are working to restore the dilapidated structure. Evans City is in western PA. http://www.fixthechapel.com/index.html

Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
Top 10 US travel destinations for 2012 1. US Virgin Islands 2. Hudson River Valley, New York 3. Cincinnati, Ohio Seen Cincy lately? The pretty city on the Ohio River – off the main cross-country interstates – gets bypassed by many road trippers, but it’s quietly transformed itself in the last decade into a worthy weekend getaway. Life centers around the river – much which can be seen by foot: river walkways are best on the Kentucky side, reached via a couple bridges including John Roebling’s Suspension Bridge (a prequel to his famous Brooklyn Bridge). Narrow, twisting (and steep) brick roads of the Mt Adams district lead past 19th-century Victorian townhouses and the free Cincinnati Art Museum, while the once-dangerous, emerging Over-the-Rhine, just north of downtown, is home to the Findlay Market and a sprawling collection of historic Italianate architecture. Best, though, is the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, open since 2004, on the banks of the river where many slaves escaped to freedom in the 19th century. 4. Four Corners Region, Southwest USA 5. Culebra, Puerto Rico 6. California Gold Country 7. Boulder, Colorado 8. Hawai’i: The Big Island 9. Chicago 10. Yellowstone National Park http://www.lonelyplanet.com/usa/travel-tips-and-articles/76941?affil=twit

"It’s unclear how a package of internal council rules – as opposed to a law or ordinance – could violate the city charter." The "uber-gadfly" comment is nice but how come the Fishwrap never points out Finney isn't a resident?

Investigate property holding along streetcar route thanks Mr Jaques for your reply to this imbecilic letter to the editor. (I have opted out of using FB for commenting) One of the reasons I like the project is because of the number of property owners along the route. How did I find out how many? I looked it up on the HamCoAud's site. flippin rocket science..... still, how come the media never reports the hundreds of affected property owners? http://cincinnati.com/blogs/letters/2011/12/14/investigate-property-holding-along-streetcar-route/

I'm all for freedom of speech, but how many times does Tom Luken have to be ejected from council chambers before they just ban the dude? Vlasta Molak PHD!, can follow the rules & still deliver incoherent tirades.

"And if he really is that paranoid, the mayor could just not appoint Winburn or Smitherman to the same committees." Mayor just appoints committee chairs, the chairs determine who is on the committee & I don't think any committee chair has blocked anybody. Actually, I don't know if hey can. It wouldn't be politically smart.

It's pretty dead over there. In 1 discussion, somebody apparently looked at the profile of an opponent & made a comment about the guy's job. How soon til people start bringing in opponents friends & family? Deleting the over 1,400 comments opposing the decision is priceless.
