Cleveland: Downtown: The 9 / Rotunda / County Admin Development
Can't wait until they open up the 2 additional lanes on E 9th street that were closed for construction (they recently closed 1 more lane in the last week or so).

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Here's another recent article I discovered about what's currently happening in Phase II. A pretty good update of progress and a few tidbits of what has yet to be announced. http://www.eventsincle.com/cle-1200-foot-riverfront-boardwalk-by-summer-of-2015/

Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
I noticed that a lot more of the window openings have been framed in with lumber in the last week or so. Hopefully all new windows will go in soon!

Pretty awesome interview with Adam Fishman of Fairmount Properties written by Cleve Scene. He's the day-to-day execution guy for the Wolstein family's vision. He mentions the Toby Keith bar (if that's not confirmation that they aren't pulling out, then I don't know what is) and a few other details/story behind the Phase II project. Definitely a good read! http://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/down-by-the-river-adam-fishman-of-fairmount-properties-talks-past-present-and-future-in-the-flats/Content?oid=3787927

Cleveland: Downtown: The 9 / Rotunda / County Admin Development
There's now two rows of facade on the side facing E 9th street. I drive past it every day. The entire second row went up in the past 24 hours. It was too cold to stand outside longer than I had to, to take a picture!

Cleveland: Hotel Development
So just to be clear, the curb cut/new garage entrance are different than the former Taverne on the Mall being boarded up? Looks like we have our answer! This article was also posted in the Random Developments thread. But I'm excited it's more than just creating another parking garage entrance. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2014/01/lincoln_building_revamp_builds.html#incart_more_business

Anybody know what's going on with the building across the street from the new Westin? It's boarded up. The Lincoln Building I believe.

Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
I'm excited for this closure because it should signal the beginning to some major rehabilitation work on the Schofield, but it's going to create a traffic nightmare in an already crazy stretch of road downtown. During evening rush hour, especially during an event at the Q (or an Indians game), it's impossible to head south on E 9th. My residential parking garage is on prospect and it's already congested enough and sometimes takes me 15-20 minutes to get from Lakeside down to Prospect. I hope this won't double my commute.

Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
Sorry, no picture, but this was apparently the case as there are now two windows installed in these 3rd floor spots, and they look very nice, and appropriate for the building. Lucky for you, I snapped a picture! I was so excited!!

Cleveland: Downtown: Jack Cleveland Casino - Phase 2
I was walking past the may company building and was trying to figure out what the heck they were building using a large crane in front of the building... Then it hit me... They are assembling what's going to be the new sky walk for the casino.

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
How many total apartment/condo units do we have downtown? How many are actively in the works right now? I know the population of the core downtown is roughly estimated to be 12,000 but I know there aren't 12,000 units downtown due to multiple people living in one unit. It would be nice to have an updated tally. :-o You can see the complete breakdown of the housing situation on page 9 of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance Quarterly Report: http://www.downtowncleveland.com/media/88457/Q2_2013_FINAL.pdf Pretty awesome report! About 5,700 units downtown with another 974 scheduled to open in the next 18 months. Impressive trend! Thanks for sharing! Excited to see the Q3 report when that gets released in the next month or so.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
I stare out at the AT&T building from my window and they've been sealing, replacing mortar and washing/painting the entire building. They've been at it for at least 6 months, hopefully they will be done soon and can get rid of all that ugly scaffolding and the annoying cherry picker.

Five teams, from local developers, to national players express interest in developing Cleveland's lakefront... http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2013/08/five_teams_from_local_develope.html#incart_river_default#incart_m-rpt-2

FYI - Bobby George owns Barley House and I believe the newly opened restaurant/bar in W 25th, Town Hall. It would be pretty cool to see a place as busy at Town Hall go into this block. Also, if they plan on book ending the block in new construction, a portion of the Goldfish store would have to come down.

Cleveland: Downtown: Truman Building & Security Federal Building Restoration
I saw a front loader (not sure if that's what it's called or not) hauling a large amount of what appeared to be concrete and bricks out of the Truman building the other day. At least they are still making some progress on it.

They also painted the prospect entrance to the arcades yesterday or the day before. The same aqua/greenish/blueish color as in the logo.

Cleveland: Downtown: The 9 / Rotunda / County Admin Development
Yesterday there was a big crane on site on Huron and E 9th near the building they are tearing down. Today they've also installed some sort of plywood 90 degree angle extending from the building to the sidewalk below on E 9th. Not sure what that's for, but at least it appears the asbestos removal is starting right away.

I believe some friends over at The Adcom Group designed it.

That's the view outside my window every day. Some of the scaffolding has been up for a couple months now, but they recently added more. The only work I've noticed is from Coon Reconstruction. They've been scaling different sides of the building doing some type of concrete/mortar work. My guess is just checking for cracks and sealing. The scaffolding is probably for protection from falling debris.

I'll save you the trip. It's going to be called Stonetown. I believe there was an article posted in another thread. It's going to be Soul Food. And they aren't using the back space. It's being leased to someone else.

I wonder if anything will be done to the two garages. They are equally as hideous as the two buildings they are tearing down. Even a facelift would be nice.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I noticed the other day that there is a Subway and another restaurant of some sort opening up on Ontario across from the Casino. Caddy corner from Jake's Deli. Nothing significant, but at least some improvements on that corner.
