  1. I feel it can be successful again as well. You would be hard pressed to find another mall with original marble floors, and gold finishes. As well as a train station underground, with two hotels attatched (one of which holds the various sports athletes.) In addition to that a surrounding population of 14,000 and growing (not including the immediate west and east side population along with a downtown work population of around 100,000. Not to mention it has a connection to an office tower itself, a casino and two sports arenas. The point is there are too many positive and unique factors for tower city to not be able to at least become a mid range mall, somewhat similar to the line up of great lakes mall.
  2. FWIW, the Silver Lines in Boston, which for the most part are as BRT-y as the CSU line, are also on their system maps alongside the LR and HR lines. BRT is not rapid transit, especially when the healthline takes around 40 minutes to get from downtown to widermere vs. 17-20 for the Red Line.
  3. Speaking of tower city the 2nd floor (main entrance floor) on the Brooks Brothers side is in severe need of some help. With Jones New York leaving that is 5 vacancies on that side with only 9 stores total on that side including Tower Deli. There are also rumblings that Rainbow clothing store will be leaving potentially 6 vacancies on one side out of 9 storefronts. For that to be the main entrance to the mall and the first thing people see, including tourists, I hope they have a plan in place to attract long term big name tenants.
  4. The really count the BRT as rapid transit? That should confuse tourists...
  5. ^I hadn't fully realized how low the amount of density was in that area. Sheesh.
  6. I wonder about the effects on the U.C station, if any at all.
  7. Will the boardwalk be illuminated along the edges at night? I think it would look pretty nice.
  8. I have a question about the bridges. How often are bridge replacements recommended? I ask because the at Superior road station looks past due for a replacement.
  9. So I know that the service is free, but for it to be advertised in the train station for a great way to get to the muni lot is kind of backwards to me. Since you're in the train station why not advertise the Waterfront line as a way to get to your car in the muni lot? At least advertise both, I feel like the Waterfront line doesn't get advertised as well as it should.
  10. ^I said the same thing.
  11. Peak-a-boo. Taken from the corner of W.Superior and W.6th

I do feel like his health will fair better next season because he shouldn't be starting over Moz. Coming off the bench should preserve his body more.
  13. Left side of the shot awesome, right side.....not so much
  14. Lets add to the hopefulness that the County can come up with funds to demolish the Justice center and build a 30-40 story mixed use tower! :drunk:....One can dream. :|
  15. If I were to rate this building I would give it a solid 8-8.5. The design gives Cleveland something it lacked, a modern glass building that strays away from the beige days. The street presence that is has is impressive, and I like that the valet area is not on St.Clair but close. The height of course gives it points in my book as well, speaking of which, I think that they did as good of a job as you could do paying homage to the surrounding buildings while taking that step forward and going vertical. The one big downer to me is the large amount of blank concrete walls that are apart of the structure. I believe that it creates a dead zone. Overall though the project looks great.
  16. What makes it even worse is looking at what used to sit on that land... http://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large-5/euclid-ave-at-e-105th-st-university-circle-cleveland-historic-vantage.jpg That just made me completely sad.....did that get wiped out in the era where Cleveland thought it was a good idea to fix the growing amount of abandoned buildings by tearing them down, aka the 60s and 70s?
  17. What area is that basketball court located in?
  18. Is this the site plan you were looking for?

I hate windhorst's journalism skills. He reports on the most obvious things, such as today saying LeBron's confidence is due to them being underdogs.....
  20. Is it possible to remove the question mark from the thread title? I know it's minor but i never understood why one existed.

Ticket prices on flash seats have gone down from $492 for the worst seats after the game 3 win, to less than $250 as of today for the cheap seats. Way to show your optimism Cleveland.......
  22. That's a GREAT IDEA, McLovin. Thank you very much! I just feel like it will allow the station to stay nice for longer since station maintenance seems to lack with the RTA [emoji2]
  23. Did they just repaint the main avenue bridge in 2007-08 or was that some sort of structural work?
  24. One thing that I believe the RTA should begin to invest in with their new stations are restrooms. It is unlikely that they do, but it would prevent stations from ending up like E.120 or the old U-C station which smelled like complete urine throughout. Superior station could use some TLC as well, I believe it smells like that and is pretty creepy now.
