Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Getting waaaaay ahead of myself but, where would a championship parade occur? Pre-Euclid Corridor project Euclid avenue was the clear option but that seems too narrow now. What street does that leave us? Superior?

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
It seems like we have been floating around that number for a while now, I've even heard 14,000 but if the DCA reports 12,500 that must be the most accurate number. Great news either way!

Thank you that must have been a wild section and a terror for opponents.

To me that is the reason you keep him, if Wiggins blossoms to what people expect from him or relatively close in 3-5 years that means when LeBron gets older (35+) you can easily put Wiggins in LeBrons spot in the rotation when he hangs the towel up. I'm not saying that the Cavs wouldn't miss LeBron but it would soften the blow a good amount.

I wonder if more seats been added to the lower bowl yet especially the Dawg Pound. I've heard stories (I'm not old enough to remember/see) that the Dawg Pound section sat closer to the field than this version which made it more intimidating/effective (In addition to winning). Is that true?

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
Sure, but my point isn't about attendance; it's about having a plethora of empty seats during the game. Well that's an easy solution (Idk about the Browns), win and they will come. That's all we want.

But the Browns average attendance last year was 71,242 (97.3% capacity) up from 66,632 in 2012 which was up from 65,859 in 2011. So the crowds have been increasing lately. We shall have to see the effect of cutting 5,000+ seats out though.

My point is that WE don't know yet what assurances there are or aren't. That's all. For all we know Love could want to go long term with Boston or Chicago or Golden State. p.s. can't find your SAS report It was on Mike&Mike, not First Take. Here ya' go - http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=11262634 (approx. 6:00) Report out that Kevin Love has told his agent hat he wants the Cavs, and it's said if true the price for him has/will drop dramatically. Brendan Haywood for Kevin Love anyone? :-D http://www.foxsports.com/ohio/story/nba-kevin-love-may-be-requesting-trade-to-cleveland-cavaliers-072614

That article just showed the importance of rail over bus transportation.

People chatting about a "conspiracy theory" that the deal actually is already done. Probably just more random ESPN chatter.

Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
Exactly what it is, it looks so sterile. Members of the commission don't seem to feel the same. "On Thursday, members generally seemed to like the hotel plan, though they did ask architect Chris Kaczmar to tinker with the Euclid façade." ^from Michelle's article... "He would not delve into financing sources or disclose the total cost of the hotel, which is being designed to meet the Clinic's architectural standards" http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2014/07/cleveland_clinic_picks_chicago.html Unfortunate, but it explains why the hotel looks like a hospital.

Frank Caliendo is an amazing talent I found this, and his impressions on Numbers Never Lie very entertaining.

It turned out a lot better than the renderings I saw, but there are components I'm not a fan of such as the grey siding, I do like the amount of glass on the street level, which makes it feel open and inviting but I don't want to get off topic.

The fact that the story states members of the Landmark Commission likes the hotel plan is discouraging, this is a very bland project with no good street presence on Euclid. This project makes me like the Courtyard hotel design down the street so much more just because it's build up to the street.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
The way I see loitering and have always understood it was in a bad way. Obviously a better choice of words could have been used as a big case of miscommunication ensued. I never was a fan of bus stops on the square was a good idea in the first place and don't like them now. That is why I offered suggestions to have them relocated to a area close to the square but not on it directly. So if you wanted to enjoy the square you can easily walk there, but having bus stops on the square is just a bad idea. Anyone has the right to be on the square, as long as you are there to enjoy it and not be there to cause commotion, dirty it up, or make patrons uncomfortable with cat calls etc. Also I wasn't saying you were implying racism.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Not to take this off topic, but I feel as I must respond. As a person of color, that is how I take it. We all receive things in a different manner and many times people write things in a manner which is stereotypical and insulting. They generalize about people with for, what I believe, is no reason. If you want you can feel free to PM. I tried to PM you but your inbox is full. EDIT: Fixed

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Thats why I posted the image above, as it shows the bus stops on superior, I feel like they can be moved to superior and e.roadway which is right across from the square without touching it, and the same goes for the stop right by the old stone church.
-
Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
That's all I'm saying, I feel like the square being a big crowded bus stop is not a good idea, and the bus stops can be placed in an area that is very close to the square without actually being on it (Old Stone Church bus stop, and on Superior right next to the federal reserve I believe, right across the street from 200 public square). First of all it's not attractive to have it on the square also for some people it serves as a detractor. Also yes I've noticed that as well and it's frustrating.
-
Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
....No I'm talking about ANYONE that just hang on the square causing a ruckus detracting people from wanting to hang on the square which happens now, especially people who have to deal with the cat calls etc which makes people uncomfortable. I don't like the square being one big bus stop anyhow. I'm not considering people that look like me being "bad" loiters. (I feel like you're implying young minorities as bad loiters). I only look at people in general that just cause commotion as detractors from the square which is reality especially when it makes patrons uncomfortable. I will walk the square but because of the commotion a good number of people won't touch it.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Loiter the square by just causing a ruckus and not actually there to enjoy the square but end up detracting people from it like what happens now. Just reality.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
So, I remember there was money left over from the CC/MM project that was supposed to be split for the convention center project and the Public Square redesign, where is that money? http://www.cleveland.com/architecture/index.ssf/2014/07/gund_foundation_donates_5_mill.html#incart_related_stories EDIT: UGH, there are so many bus stops on this square! Honestly keeping these bus stops are a mistake, I would move the bus stops that are on Ontario and on Superior to either the stop on Superior right before you touch the square, or right where the old stone church bus stop is. It's still close to the square without having people loiter around the square.
