  1. I mean as you've stated I believe this analysis had a slant toward the BRT alternative, and worded the analysis to believe the BRT was the better option. I felt like the breakdown of the BRT option was more extensive as well. McLovin that was meant as a shot at RTA (and their analysis) not you. Hope you didn't take it the wrong way; I agree with your statement. No I didn't, but I do appreciate you taking time out to clarify, thank you.

True, but I would see if I could trade Waiters and some other pieces with a 1st round pick(s) to get Love I would try to hold on to Wiggins as much as possible.

This is all too similar to 2010 and since that didn't end well I'm uneasy about this year, tac on that Pat Riley will be the last person in his ear before the day is over, raises my nerves even more. Looking at it positively the Cavs are 80/20 favorites according to Chris Broussard. I will not though I WILL NOT like if they trade Andrew Wiggins to grab K Love, that will be the biggest mistake and that's the name I keep hearing.
  5. After reading the summary at the end it sounds like they have a clear favorite, and it's not rail.
  6. I hope the buildings fronting Superior have retail the street could use it.
  7. This is fantastic news, now only if we can build the remainder of the 10 story portion can be built....

^ "@chris_broussard: Cleveland has replaced Miami as my frontrunner to land LeBron James..." "@chris_broussard: I'm not saying LJ to Cavs is done deal or I know 4 a fact; just my gut feeling based on many conversations I've had around this story..." "@chris_broussard: These convos aren't sourced enough 4 me to report as fact. But I've heard enough to believe "the wind is blowing" LJ back home. We'll see..."
  9. If you click the city's link you will see, just like Cleveland the crime index is 2 with the safest being 100, which means Cincinnati isn't the 3rd safest it is safer than 2% of all cities.

I wouldn't mind trading Waiters and Thompson and a pick in return for Kevin Love. Given how Kevin Love said he won't resign Minnesota's asking price shouldn't be astronomical because they would want something in return instead of letting him walk away for free. Also I agree that I would have commitments from both LBJ and K Love before moves are made. To gather back what was lost from trading Dion, I would S&T trade Deng for Jamal Crawford and Matt Barnes.

After hearing the report that Kevin Love would "100% resign with Cleveland" I would pitch that to LBJ as something they can pull off and tell him to imagine a lineup with K Love, LBJ, and Kyrie. Along with a potential star in Wiggins starting and Dion Waiters, a nice scoring option off the bench, and Tristan Thompson that would be a nice pitch. Also I would Sign and Trade Deng to the Clippers for Jamal Crawford and Matt Barnes for another legit scoring option off the bench and a veteran presence.
  12. The RTA website, as of this pm, is now stating East Side Red Line work has been extended another 8 days: through July 13, service resuming July 14!! http://www.riderta.com/ This is getting pretty ridiculous, that would make basically a month of shutdowns.

Not comfortable with offering Hayward so much money, I would rather focus on Monroe and another piece, a big man is to hard to come by and he has talent.
  15. Who cares if it's a monopoly? Applying that logic to hotels, Cleveland would not be a Marriott Town. The Marriott program has the most hotel rooms in Downtown Cleveland (Ritz-Carlton, Marriott, Renaissance, Residence Inn and soon to open Metropolitan) and the Region as a whole. I do, if you have the same stores they will offer the same product and if you normally go to a different store than what is offered downtown but need something in a hurry and can't find because your usual shop isn't located in the area then you simply won't buy from there which is less money circulated around. I believe that an area should have diverse options to cater to various peoples taste and preference, some people won't shop at a certain store due to preference so if you offered a diverse selection of stores you can attract more customers to shop in that area instead of going to somewhere else due to a lack of options. For example I shop at Walmart for certain things, but if I want home decor items for my apartment I will go to Target much more often than Walmart. It all comes comes down to variety, why populate the area with the same store and potentially lose out on shoppers that don't shop there when you can go for a more diverse selection. Just my opinion. Not true. The same brands can have variety in retail operations based on the market. You can have two CVS locations, in close proximity, and they may carry the same basic items, but if one store is a "store in store" and the other a "free standing Key" location. The later may carry a larger retail matrix along with expanded hours. Well that's why I said earlier if it were to move I would like to see a store with expanded services and product offerings like a mini grocery store.

  17. If CVS were to relocate and expand what it offers, such as a mini grocery store etc, then I would be open to it but the interior design has to be executed correctly and the services and products offered have to be much improved from E.9th. I don't want to see another CVS especially in the May Co. building due to there already being two downtown, right down the street from each other no less (which I never understood). If another drug store were to move here I would want it to be someone such as Walgreens to create another option besides the CVS downtown monopoly.
  18. If Walgreens can do something relatively close to this, I'm all in! http://www.chicagoarchitecture.org/2012/11/20/first-look-flagship-walgreens-inside-historic-noel-state-bank-building/walgreens-chicago-illinois-november-2012-019a/
  19. I agree that it's not the worst but the lack of ground floor retail space built in the buildings boggles me. The street while only two lanes each way also seems too wide to allow for a pedestrian friendly street. Just my opinion though.
  20. I would imagine that given the purchase of the Standard building, due to the anticipated Public Square renovation that interest in empty retail spaces around Public Square will be filled once construction starts. The area that should benefit the most is the side of Ontario opposite of the Horseshoe Casino, that side while it has some restaurants, has an erie feel to it at night in certain sections. I would imagine that a business that caters to the late night crowd would go there to truly give the area a 24 hour feel.
  21. Any word on the name of the restaurant and food market moving in? EDIT: I would like to add that I'm excited for ground floor retail to be implemented here, Superior is so car oriented that it drives me crazy, I would love to see a lot more retail be built on superior, but if memory serves me correctly there isn't much retail space available do to the building that exists there, kind of unfortunate.
  22. No more CVS please. Also there should really be no rush to get a place that has groceries since Heinens is opening on 9th so it should be easily accessible to a large amount if not all of downtown.

There is a tentative agreement for Kyrie to play for the Cavs for the next 6 years. @cavsdan: Looking forward to the next 6 years of @KyrieIrving in CLE. Just shook hands &intend to sign on the 10th.Cant be more excited about @cavs... https://twitter.com/cavsdan/status/483849492845068288
  24. I wonder if they could cut through the south wall and put windows in. You would think it would enhance the value of the new apartments coming in. It would certainly end that longtime Public Square visual eyesore. That could cause them to lose the historic tax credits though.

Are the cost to re-use this space astronomical, or is it pointless to have rail down here due to the W.25 station?
