Did you do this or was it proposed?

Cleveland-Lakewood: Enhance Clifton Transit Project
Why would you think the HL vehicles are anywhere near the end of their life useful cycle?? That statement/question has me perplexed. I think believe the Clifton stations are appropriate for the surrounding architecture. The non historic Shaker Rapid stations shelters should be rebuilt using this design. Just my self-analysis, the buses continuously break down and sometimes have to have regular 2200-2800 series buses replace them which to me indicates that they are having problems keeping the HL buses on the road due to maintenance issues. The HL buses probably will age faster due to them being used 24/7 so heavy mileage use is beginning to catch up to it in my opinion. Also due to heavy usage the interiors are starting to show age, ramps are being duct taped, the LED indicators don't work half the time as well. Mechanically the buses sound loud an atrocious, especially given the type of route it represents. As I stated earlier from my self-analysis I feel like even though the buses are literally half way through their life cycle they will need to be replaced sooner than other RTA buses. I'm not speaking from an experts point of view though only my opinion.

Rail access would be perfect here.

Cleveland Area TOD Discussion
Doing something with that bus loop would be fantastic. I've always been disappointed with the location of the UC station as it seems out of the way and to far from the action, it has a feel of being in the middle of the highway. Something to add to TOD or connect the station better with the rest of the area would do wonders. I remember back in high school at John Hay I was apart of the architecture program in my school and we worked with city architects to design a bridge that stretched from the station to the corner of where the School of Arts is. Something like that would help as well, and be much safer to pedestrians. I am not aware of that plan though, I didn't become fully interested in urban planning and development until around my sophomore year in high school, about 5 years ago, that beautiful though!

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
My favorite part is the movie showing on Public Square I've been waiting on a regularly scheduled event like this to draw people downtown especially public square, and after I saw fountain square had it I wanted it even more. Looking at those redevelopment examples in the story I do believe that more interest will be shown to the square. Mixed use is a must though, with residential included along with retail at the bottom to continue activity throughout the day. Also there is retail space available along Euclid where the cadillac ranch once was that I believe will either be entirely taken up (20,000 sf) or divided up. The same goes for the retail on the superior side of 200 P.S. Due to blunders with development around P.S (Strictly office and government buildings) the square won't reach its full potential but can still be great.

Cleveland Area TOD Discussion
Every time I ride the Red Line and approach Superior I look out at all the potential for TOD especially along Hayden Avenue. Also I think that redevelopment of both strip malls along Euclid Avenue into residential with retail at the bottom would create a strong interest in RTA transit especially rail given its speed advantage over the HL. Finally a rehab of the apartments along Euclid that wrap into Superior hill would be amazing, the structures themselves are beautiful and would be a quick sell especially given the proximity to both the HL and Red Line. This all seems far fetched given the financial situation with East Cleveland and developers interest level, but a guy can dream.

Sure wish east siders could say the same.

Cleveland-Lakewood: Enhance Clifton Transit Project
I like the new stations more than the silver ones, they seem like they will look more visually pleasing for a longer period of time due to having brick instead of metal, they also seem more well built due to the brick. Sure do wish the Healthline was getting more articulated buses due to the current stock being on its last legs? Also will these run 24hrs down Clifton? It seems like RTA doesn't allow its articulated fleet to run all day on the west side.

Cleveland Rapid Rail Construction Projects (Non-Service Issues)
Based on the rendering I see nothing wrong with the station. Well maybe his disapproval stems from RTA giving stations like University Circle eye catching glass designs while this is mainly brick and seems cookie cutter in comparison. Just my guess. When put side by side I can see where he's coming from.

For those interested in comparing then and now someone posted a google maps image at the same angle as the 1900s picture.

Cleveland: Downtown: Hilton Cleveland
Looking at this picture I like how refreshing it looks, and how well it fits in with the new construction on the Mall. The amount of street presence it has as well is very well done along with the height. I'm even more excited about this project than I was before!

Did good news come in regards to his back? If so I'd take him no problem, I just don't want him to be the next Greg Oden.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I just found out that these are the new Clifton buses. Shame for me as an east side rider these are nice! I wanted these for the healthline.

When did RTA get these busses?
-
Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I see the RTA has new busses, 3200s they are Articulated busses, will they only act as shuttles on the East side or eventually replace the healthline? They seem longer than the healthline bus so it would make sense given the overcrowding issues.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Seeing how the PS side right across from the casino is just a gathering spot for rowdy patrons (not all of course but enough) I feel like bus stations should either be moved from the square, some busses should be moved elsewhere that usually stop there, or enforcement needs to clear out people just causing issues more often. Something needs to change because I find myself avoiding that part of the square and even catch the HL across from BP Tower. If I avoid that part of the square I'm sure other patrons do the same, maybe whenever the square is redone some ambassadors can be hired to regulate the area.

A gas station.... :x They are already renovating the old BP gas station on E.110th and Superior, why have another literally RIGHT down the street?

Cleveland: Opportunity Corridor Boulevard
At this point, it's pretty much a case of "why not"? Well I don't oppose it, but they're closing it and adding nothing new to the street?

Cleveland: Downtown: Residences at 1717
Ah so I see that this is not out of the ordinary, that's intriguing to me. EDIT: I found the completion dates, looks like the 2nd and 3rd floor will be open on July 1st, and the 21st floor will be done May 1st 2015. http://www.residencesat1717.com/Suites

Cleveland: Downtown: Residences at 1717
I believe their first leases start this July on the second and third floors with subsequent higher floors coming to market every few weeks / every month til next spring as they work their way up. So as they do construction on the other floors they will allow residents to live there? Interesting....

The closure of Quincy avenue? What is the full idea behind that?
