Fronting Euclid Ave I bet. Why not build on the dozen parking lots in the area? There is a huge lot just south of this building along Prospect... I have no issue with the garage only if the garage has a modern look with retail at the bottom *cough* 515 Euclid *cough*

Northeast Ohio / Cleveland: General Transit Thread
It's not that informative of a video, you're not missing much. Although one of the comments some girl reads is one that I submitted to them on twitter. Seeing the alternatives that they're considering at http://www.redlinehealthlinestudy.com/explore-alternatives is far more interesting. Option E and G are great alternatives, a streetcar that touches numerous different neighborhoods that are very disconnected from rail (Ivanhoe, E.152, Waterloo, Downtown Euclid Etc.) I feel like this is a more exciting alternative than the Heavy/Commuter rail going from Superior station to E.260th and Euclid. This is especially exciting since it rides through actual neighborhoods which would help with ridership greatly, where the red line would be away from residential and face the same problems the current red line is facing. I also like that it would help play a part in revitalizing the Collinwood area. The only thing I would change is having it go to the end of the county line but I know it would be a challenge to find a turnaround for the streetcar.

For the heavy-rail overhaul is the event to show the new refurbished rail cars?

So reading the story and seeing them mention the Huntington garage and a nearby lot for parking I'm guessin the underground parking isn't feasible?

Why? It seems that hard rock makes TONS of money They might be catching grief from TC management. They are, after all, Horseshoe's direct competitor. If the spot is profitable, Rock Gaming may want it. Major Blow if they leave, there is no other alternative that is such a tourist attraction like hard rock that pops into memory. Rock Gaming is just bullying and pressuring everyone if true. It also could be that Hard Rock doesn't want to help draw people to TC. Why wouldn't they? If more people are in tower city the more likely they are to eat there. Also I would think they would want to be in the most convenient location, Downtown by all the hotels, stadiums and residential. The hard rock racino seems like it won't generate as much traffic for the restaurant due to the location. The Hard Rock Cafe always is crowded during conventions and sports games, moving would diminish that traffic, by how much I don't know. What I do know is TC would be there best option. It's all just speculation, note the "it's possible". But as things stand it's a little bit of an odd combination. I'd more expect Rock Gaming to try to get them out than the Hard Rock to decide to bail, but either is feasible. Yeah I noticed the "it's possible" it's just when stories/rumors like this come out the worst case scenario seems to happen.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I saw some tweets that Chud said in his postgame presser that Weeden was given the concussion protocol and was in the clear. I'm sure Campbell will be starting next week. Gordon was given the protocol when he went to the locker room, he was cleared and came back out. We'll see if there's a fine for the helmet to helmet shot he took. If we were contending, there'd be a lot more talk about the final TD pass being an obvious bobble that the refs refused to overturn despite what even the CBS guys found to be clear evidence. The NFL needs full time referees. Weeden is not, physically, a bad QB. If the sideline pass to Gordon last week had been thrown by Brady, either Manning, or Luck we'd see that highlight all year. He goes through these devastating mental lapses. This should be curable, but will the game slow down enough for him before age slows him down. What you say is true but we won't be able to find out if age will begin to slow him down because I guarantee the Browns release him and keep at least Hoyer with a new QB getting drafted. Having 8 INTs in 5 games is unacceptable from anyone. He just launches the ball and hopes for the best and that can't happen if you want to be successful. He will be gone this off season and if the Browns had Campbell AND Hoyer healthy he would have been gone.

I'd blame the loss on the 4 big disasters committed by the offense: 2 INTs, fumble, and safety. Jacksonville started at the 17, 28, 33, and 43 following each of those mistakes. That's 11 (3, 3, 3, and 2) points at the very least, turned out to be 18 points off of offensive errors. The game winning drive by the Jags was bad, but the defense shouldn't have been in that position in the first place. Usually I would blame it on the offense for a game like this (They do get some blame from me), BUT they clawed back and finally got the lead on what seemed to be a momentum shifting 95 yard pass touchdown. Then the defense who for the second half was very good, made major errors that cost us the game first it was the face mask penalty from Phil Taylor, then Joe Haden who should have known to give him the underneath bit on a double move to cost us the game. I'm sorry but to finally have a good offensive game like that and then have the usually great defense be the the one to blow it hurts, even Joe knew he blew the game if you saw him on the sideline.

The same defense that basically stated last week that the offense is costing them games, did the same thing this week. I blame Phil Taylor and more importantly Joe Haden for this game. Joe blew coverages a few too many times this game.

I wouldn't be upset that even if we win Brandon Weeden is cut, I shouldn't have to hold my breath or my heart shouldn't skip a beat when a ball is thrown deep.

Like E Rocc mentioned even though a half mile isn't far it's about safety. Look at the neighborhood's a lot of these schools are based in a lot of them are in areas known for extreme drug and criminal activity. Even the exceptions (John Hay, The new School of Arts, etc) A good number of the students live in rough neighborhoods. I sure would not want my child walking in this area I wish this was implemented when I was in high school it would have saved me the fear factor of walking.

I like that as well because the mall area is supposed to be a park like area anyway, so this will just add to the area. I'm guessing since it is a Hilton hotel you imagined their logo on it?

I truly asked the question out of curiosity, maybe people think that since we have the 3 tallest office buildings in the state we should have the tallest hotel, and residential tower etc. I think we also now have the lowest convention center. An impressive 27ft tall! Or possibly zero feet tall, depending on how you look at it... Haha I love that our convention center is underground. It is an added space that doesn't take up space. I also like the hill over the CC we have a very unique convention center.

Why is that barometer useful? If its the 2d tallest in the state, yet 50th tallest (for example) in CLE, it doesn't do much for CLE. If it were the 50th tallest bldg in CLE, yet the tallest in the state, then that may be more interesting. But by saying that Toledo or Akron or Cincy or where ever has a taller hotel than does CLE, it doesn't reflect well on the city at all. You could also probably say, 'its the second tallest hotel in Ohio-Alabama-Kentucky-and Mississippi combined' and it wouldn't sound very good. Cleveland's a big city (though not by population) and it must use appropriate metrics. Dude it's a yes or no question your looking waaaay too much into it, I was just curious. Dude, it's called Google. It's very easy. Dude, I got the answer already. Look up thread before you respond it's very easy.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
I believe he deserved to be booed 5-37 from the field is EXTREMELY UNACCEPTABLE!! Boos cascade down on Anthony Bennett during Cavs loss to the Wizards Wednesday night Fans are frustrated. Last night, after Bennett's latest three-point attempt failed to brush the rim, boos rained down on the struggling rook. Hearing the gesture caused fans and media members on Twitter to express how they felt. http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2013/11/fans_boo_anthony_bennett_durin.html#incart_river_default

Well now Cleveland does sound good because it will be the tallest hotel in Ohio, beating the Hilton in Cincinnati by 2 feet.
