London, UK
Nice pictures. I went to London in the summer of 2004 and loved it!!! We stayed at the Portman Square Hyatt and even spent 2 nights at The Savoy on the Strand! Two awesome hotels. Did you get to go to the Lake District? I loved being able to take trains to the various parts of England! I cant believe that London has about 8 or so train stations. And the shopping wasn't that bad either!

General Roads & Highway Discussion (History, etc)
They have one in Downtown Columbus, at Neil Avenue and Long Street. It is going south on Neil Avenue, turning left(of course) onto Long Street. It may have either three or four lanes.

Cincinnati: Retail News
I heard that there was a rumor that Bloomingdales was coming to Tuttle Crossing here in Columbus; I heard this after Macy's announced that it was taking over Kaufmanns. Is it true? I dont know, but it would be nice(either at Tuttle Crossing, Easton, or even better, in Downtown Columbus at the brand new City Center lifestyle center or a freestanding store Downtown on High Street!).

New Albany: Developments and News
columbusguy20 replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionWe already have a condo like subdivision built. It is called Pickett Place, which is very nice. The reason I moved to New Albany was for the homes, acerage, club, and suburban charms, not for the condos. I'll go to Columbus if I want condos that are going to cost $330,000!

Greater Columbus COTA News & Discussion
Poor little COTA! What was the name of the bus company in Columbus before COTA? Did they do a better job before COTA came along.

Greater Columbus COTA News & Discussion
Maybe by doing this, people will begin to reconsider taking the bus. It may also help COTA to revive its image and change how it works. In the article, Lahota said "We need to think outside of the box and look at everything, recognizing some of the stuff may not work." I hope this does change COTA's image and signal that a major change is in the future!

Metro Columbus: Road & Highway News
Will this expanision of 161 be an actual freeway, like 161 is from 270 to U.S.62/Dublin Granville Road?

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Columbus could get All Nippon or JAL airlines, because of the Honda plant. Maybe an African-based airline (South African Airways) because Columbus has a significant number of Somalians and Africans and Columbus could get Lufthansa, since we do have a large German population, or maybe El Al, because we have Wexner, the Wasserstroms, and the Schottensteins. Hopefully soon, Columbus will be able to offer these services! Anyways, how does a country, like the UK, Germany, France, Japan, etc. determine if they want to open a consulate in a city?

Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Projects & News
I am glad to see them adding more of these signs. I think they are putting them up on 270(westbound or eastbound, i am unsure) between 315 and Sawmill Road and 270(westbound) between OH 3/Westerville Road and Cleveland Avenue; 670 eastbound between Cassady Avenue and Fifth Avenue; 70(westbound) between Fairfield County Line and Brice Road; and on 315(southbound) near Riverside Hospital or near there.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Thats good news for Cleveland! I wish some of these airlines woudl serve Columbus. If possible, Columbus should have Air France, British Airways, Lufthansa, Iberia?, Alitalia?, JAL. Hopefully in the future we will have these airlines, unless we have some of them now. Does Columbus have any international airlines besides Air Canada.

Metro Cincinnati: Road & Highway News
They need HOV lanes in Columbus, especially on 270 on the north side, 70, 71, and maybe 670.

Columbus: Interstate 270/OH 161 NeXT Project
I know this may be a little off topic, but is OH 161(New Albany Expressway) considered interstate standard freeway? If so, does anyone think that ODOT could make the portion from I-270 to just east of U.S. 62/Johnstown Road an interstate? Just wondering

Columbus: General Transit Thread
I know this may be a stupid question, but would we be the first city in Ohio to have real, authentic streetcars again, since they were uninstalled about 40 or so years back?
-
Columbus: General Transit Thread
Wow!!! Why can't COTA do this? I hope this gives COTA a good smack in the face and helps them to realized what they are doing wrong and how to fix it.
