  1. Osborne has been the onlyllocal journalist to call out COAST, Finney and crew. He is the only local journalist to dare to tell the truth about those scoundrels.
  2. Biased Barry and his hair hat are back on the Streetcar Beat: ENQUIRER EXCLUSIVE: Bids to build streetcar vary widely http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20130211/NEWS01/302120015?fb_comment_id=fbc_144959008996743_300333_144961495663161 "hree companies that hope to build the Cincinnati streetcar route have submitted widely varying bids ranging from about $71 million to more than $87 million, city documents released Monday to The Enquirer show. While City Hall has just started its review of the construction bid numbers, the new figures conceivably could push the streetcar project’s total price tag to between $128 million and $144 million. Mayor Mark Mallory and City Manager Milton Dohoney Jr. recently said that the city already has committed $42 million to the streetcar through other contracts, roughly half of that to buy five sleek, European-styled vehicles from the subsidiary of a Spanish firm. Design costs also are included in that figure. Another potential addition to City Hall’s total streetcar budget is the estimated $15 million cost of relocating Duke Energy utilities to make way for tracks and stations. With both sides arguing the other should pay, City Hall and Duke have decided to allow a court to decide which side is responsible for that expense."
  3. ^which means that the prices of all if the road & bridge projects will rise too. But we'll never hear Sloan, Cranley or COAST tsk tsk the road widening projects on I75 or the Brent Spence Bridge replacement boondoggle.
  4. ^On a related note, I was told today that the newest anti-streetcar tweeter, PlumStPlayPen, is in fact not Mark Miller but is a guy named Dave who works for Sittenfeld. Anyone else know any more info about this?
  5. Mark Miller lost it a long time ago, along with his job and credit rating. It's probably him, but it could be Jeff Capell or Frivolous Finney too.
  6. Bitter sore loser Chris Finney tweeted the following last night from the TOAST account: COAST ‏@GOCOAST Party on, @MayorMallory & your band of thieves. But the hangover.... http://news.cincinnati.com/enquirertopnews/article?a=2013302080130&f=880 … 6:33 PM - 8 Feb 13 Via Safari on iOS Finney loses on the Streetcar at every turn and his crushed ego can't stand it.
  7. Amazon's show on a Friday night? So that was heard by what ... 17 people? 17 elderly shut ins.
  8. ^I believe you meant to write parking lease as no sale has been proposed.
  9. Great work Jake, thanks for the update.
  10. David Mann wants to come out of his carbonite deep freeze and try for another run at council, running on a theme of “financial sustainability". Anyone really wonder what side of the streetcar "debate" (such as it exists among suburban 700WLW listeners, TOAST, Barry Horstman and Smitherman) that Mann will come down on? TOAST is already proclaiming Mann to be 'the adult in the room', along with Smitherman (HA-HA!).
  11. Why would an anonymous twitter account...with only 46 tweets....And 14 followers....get a follow from Fox19(Who only follows only 333 people out of 8462 followers)? Enquirer political reporter Carl Weiser is also following, as though Miller is going to tweet some profound political statement from his fake account.
  12. Notice in that article how the anti-railers lost their petition drive, and their candidates lost their bids for office. Yet these sore losers are going to sue because they aren't getting their way. Why do ant-rail zealots hate democracy so much?
  13. Mark Miller has created yet another Twitter account in order to attack the Streetcar: @PlumStPlayPen. It's very obviously Miller, you can tell by what he's tweeting and use of the word "boondoggle". And guess who is following that account; good old Biased Barry Horstman.
  14. ^You win the internets tonight. That caused me to do a full spit take.
  15. I've never even heard of this Marc Amazon clown before. What kind of person listens to these pathetic AM radio hate talkers anyway?
  16. Brilliant John!
  17. Looks like the story has been updated and restored to the front page.
  18. In typical fashion, the Enquirer has already pulled the story off of Cincinnati.com's front page.
  19. Mayor Mallory is a very skilled politician. If it weren't for the GOP gerrymandered districts Mallory would be a strong candidate for Congress.
  20. On a related note, I was reviewing the latest developments in Frivolous Finney's lawsuit against Blue Ash over the sale of the airport. There was a case management conference on the 16th, and a trial won't be held for over a year, its now scheduled for February 14 2014. If Finney was expecting a quicky payment from Blue Ash to go away he's not going to get one, Blue Ash is fighting him in court all the way to the bitter end.
  21.          UP YOUR'S JOHNBOY CRANLEY!!!!!
  22. ...And then when they're presented with the binders full of information they claim doesn't exist, they scream "that's too much to read and it's all written in a way that makes my head hurt!" The only binders Horstman and his buddies like are full of women. LOLZ!!
  23. Mayor Mallory blocked and shut down yet another attempt by Smitherman to ban Duke's funds from being used for Streetcar construction costs (undoubtedly penned by Smitherman's puppetmaster Finney). TOAST is furious about it and lashing out on their sad blog: "Christopher Smitherman has introduced a resolution before the Council opposing this cash-grab from City residents. Using what Smitherman claims is an illegal procedure in violation of the Charter, Mayor Mallory refuses to allow the proposal to even come to a vote before the Council. Of course, there are six lemmings on the Council that slavishly obey each dictate of the Mayor, so even if the proposal saw the light of day, it would fail, but at least we could get these Council members on the record for selling out their own voters for the sake of their beloved trolley. Remember in November! " Oh we *will* remember, that John Cranley is another anti-City, anti-progress obstructionist.
  24. ^^Hear Hear!!
  25. Not only does Biased Barry hate the Streetcar, he hates *covering* the Streetcar too.
