  1. On that note, this from Jake Mecklenborg: Those members of the Blue Ash City Council need to file a complaint with the BAR against Finney for is unethical and unprofessional conduct. They also should file telecommunications harassment charges with the Blue Ash police dept against Finney and his minions. These psychopaths need to be taught a lesson.
  2. Here's a golden nugget from COAST tonight: This whole episode has been one enormous temper tantrum by TOAST. Now Finney will sue (ie, rob the Taxpayers of yet more money) and/or hold up the park that Blue Ash residents by a 2:1 vote for a couple of years with a futile referendum in order to reap his vengeance on the City of Blue Ash. He's not going to delay the Streetcar, the new park is the only thing that he'll succeed in delaying.
  3. BREAKING: Just in from the COAST tweet stream: The perennial losers at COAST lose. Yet. Again. COAST IS TOAST BABY!!
  4. ^^^^^What he said!
  5. UPDATE 8:25PM: Just heard officially there's been no vote in Blue Ash yet. The COASTers have been yelling & screaming at Council members for 90 minutes now. Don't know when the vote will happen. COAST is threatening the Council members with referendum, recalls etc if they vote in favor of the re-do.
  6. I'm not finding any live updates on the Blue Ash City Council vote, but at 7:35pm the obsessive compulsive losers at Toast tweeted the following: The phone number goes to Tom Brinkman's voicemail (FYI, Brinkman is now COAST chairman, I guess that Jason Gloyd's home foreclosure cost him that job). I take it that COAST lost the vote, and are now threatening to unleash The Great Terror upon the denizens of Blue Ash and holding their park hostage for a couple of years.
  7. ^ Someone would have to do some hunting in order to find that story in its current location. Conversely, if it was on the front page thousands of people would likely read it.
  8. Capell is a ranting, raving lunatic. The official from Blue Ash calmly and rationally shot down his lying COAST talking points. It's a plus that the Enquirer posted the story on an obscure blog on their website and not on their main news pages, so few people are ever going to read it.
  9. Frivolous Finney and his minions are desperate and throwing a great big temper tantrum like a group of three year olds.
  10. Some of them will be moving to the Cincinnati West Airport in Harrison. And whether the jobs stay in Blue Ash or go to Clermont or Butler Counties matters not a whit to Cincinnati.
  11. On the COAST twitter feed Mark Miller just accepted inevitable defeated this Thursday. They are going to lose the Blue Ash vote, and their lawsuit is null and void: This was all an exercise in futility by the COASTers. They are little more than a bunch of Grampa Simpsons shaking their fists and yelling at clouds these days.
  12. New development at the BAA site will bring for more than the 75 theoretical jobs attributed to that airport
  13. This is from the COAST "Action Alert" emailed out to their maili list: If you're so inclined, follow the above steps and let the BACC know that this is a tiny minority (there is one lone COASTie who lives in Blue Ash) who opposes every thing that the City of Blue Ash has done for years now, and who will oppose them know matter what they do. Also remind them that this vocal minority is attempting to intimidate the City, and that the re-do is the right thing to do for Blue Ash (it saves money and gets the park built faster), and that you stand with the City leaders. Note that the phone number that COAST emailed above is incorrect-its the phone number for Weber & Knapp Company on Montgomery Road (FAIL!). The correct phone for BACC is 513-745-8500. Here are the email addresses from the COAST email: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
  14. Amen to that.
  15. Jeff Capell is tweeting up a storm tonight, both at the helm of the COAST twitter account and on his own account as well. He's taunting and threatening Blue Ash City Council members. The guy is an obsessive loon.
  16. Thanks for posting that Jake, I haven't seen that footage in a couple of years. Capell is a real psycho. He authors a blog (I will not link to it) where he defames members of Blue Ash City Government on a near daily basis, all because they are not sufficiently right wing loony toon enough for Jeff Capell's and his fellow COASTies) satisfaction.
  17. DING DING DING!! We have a winner!!! The most misinformed, inaccurate, unbalanced and blatantly biased anti-streetcar ever written in the history of Cincinnati's Streetcar saga: http://www.wcpo.com/dpp/news/region_east_cincinnati/blue_ash/cincinnati-votes-to-rescind-blue-ash-airport-agreement This story is an outrage, it's nothing but a COAST press release. He doesn't even identify Capell as a prominent member of COAST and a vocal anti-streetcar activist. This story is clearly part of COAST's all out assault to pressure the Blue Ash City Council to vote against the redo of the sale. COAST & Finney's last, best hope of stopping the project was a lawsuit over use of the BAA sale funds, which will be cut off at the knees by the new sale terms. Let Mr. Wegener know what issues you have with his story via email here: [email protected] CC his boss, WCPO News Director Lane Michaelsen: [email protected]
  18. My Great Grandfather owned the airport near Northgate that you reference, it was called the Mount Healthy Airport. he sold it after one of his best friends was killed in an airplane accident there.
  19. If the BAA is such a valuable resource, why is it that the city where it's located (Blue Ash) cares not a whit about keeping it open? And whatever jobs are allegedly attributable to BAA will likely be unaffected as the aircraft using BAA will use one of the other facilities in the area.
  20. Bingo. COAST has been reduced to Grampa Simpson shaking his fists and yelling at clouds.
  21. ^^^Police and fire departments used to be owned by private corporations too. So the F what. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_firefighting#United_States BTW, as far as I and others can determine Mark Miller is unemployed. His company, Plummetrics, has been out of business for well over a year now. Mallory and Dohoney stopped Finney's promised lawsuit over use of the BAA funds with the BAA sale redo, and Finney and his fellow COASTies are furious about it. It was Finney's last ditch hope to stop the streetcar from being built. Their latest blog and twitter antics are merely them acting out like a bunch of two year olds.
  22. Talk about your boondoggles! The BAA provided no benefit to the People of Cincinnati, it was simply a government funded handout that benefited a few wealthy airplane hobbyists. And the City of Blue Ash obviously saw no benefit from operating the airport either since they rejected taking the airport over and instead opted to redevelop the land that it sits on. Good riddance.
  23. The vote to re-do the Blue Ash Airport sale was finalized. Guess who voted against it? http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20120801/NEWS/308010115/City-will-vote-doubling-council-terms?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE The same clown posse were the lone votes against extending Council terms to 4 years (placing the issue on the ballot for the Voters to decide). PG should change his name to Mitt Jr, or perhaps to CincyRomney.
  24. What are the motel6 shennanigans from this past weekend? I must have missed something. Edit: Nevermind, I just googled it.
  25. The interesting bit from that article: It seems that the City has found a creative way around Finney's threatened lawsuit regarding the use of the BAA sale to fund the Streetcar.
