    That would be a great idea, but on a "working river" I see that as a huge liability plus the cost to maintain and operate. Hopefully the water taxi's will return. One of my first thoughts exactly...they need to connect the two banks. Being able to go to and from Shooters and all the other restaurants and bars without hopping in a taxi would be wonderful, I'm sure the west bank would greatly benefit from this as well.
