The buildings were beyond being saved.

This project won't get traction until they finish the tunnel mods and the park redesign is finished.

I'm shocked there isn't one yet. ^Well there is one in the Casino (technically CBD) and there was going to be one in the AC Hotel at the SCPA (Pendleton). No longer hotel. Apartments.

It looks like where "Play" was downtown a new bowling alley is going in. This could work downtown.

This is just the demo of the garage. It is my understanding they will demo the garage and start building the hotel. Then they will demo the red cross building and start building the garage. The hotel will be finished before the garage is finished. This may change whether the apartments are a go or not.

Cincinnati.com has posted an article stating that apartments will be a part of what is proposed tomorrow and that the project is potentially on the fast track.

This was posted on Building Cincinnati's facbook page: "Urban Design Review Board meets Friday at 10:30am for preliminary design review of 8th & Sycamore apts and garage. City Hall, Room 312" Does this mean the apartments portion has a real chance at happening?

There appears to be some DEMO work going on at the top of the Plaza Hotel. If you look at the dunnhumby construction web cam in the corner you can see the roof of the Plaza. There are a bunch of garbage/containers filled with what looks like concrete rubble.

There is a bunch of steel I-beams there today.

Does anyone know what is going on at the top of the Fountain Square garage?

I know this has probably be discussed before on this thread. But can't they cut holes out like they are doing @580?

I agree. I have a question: Why hasn't the city implemented a city wide sidewalk standard? It would be nice if all the sidewalks were uniform. Does anyone have any background information on this?
