http://www.building-cincinnati.com/2012/07/agreements-approved-for-fifth-and-race.html 3CDC will then subdivide the site into four air lots for each of the development's four components, which include: An office building air lot, which will be sold for $1 to dunnhumbyUSA for construction of its $36 million, 200,000-plus-square-foot headquarters; A parking garage air lot, which will support the construction of a $52 million, 1,030-space parking garage – approximately 60 percent of which will be built underground. 3CDC will sell this lot back to the City for $1, and the City will then execute a 35-year lease agreement with 3CDC – with two ten-year renewal options – for garage operations and management; An air lot for 40,000-square-feet of street-level retail or commercial space, which will be owned by the developer; and A residential air lot for a future tower containing 180-200 apartments, also to be owned by 3CDC. Everyone is talking about 1 single tower, but every article I read about the agreements made between the parties involved sounds like 2 separate towers on one large plot. Can anyone chime in who has a good understanding of Air agreements?
  2. 17th overall attendance for a first place team is horrible... especially for a city that says they are a baseball city. Had a conversation with a guy who works for the reds tell me the reds weren't profitable last year. Was my statement an over statement, maybe. But needed to be to demonstrate that a city who does not have good attendance in 2 out of the 3 major sports (17th and 32nd, which is bad) could not support a MLS team. Correct me if i am wrong but I believe only 1 or 2 MLS teams turned a profit last season and one of them is the Sounders. And to say that Cincinnati have a strong youth soccer following as reason to bring an MLS to hear is not a good business decision. Almost every major metropolitan area has a strong youth soccer following.
  3. Cincinnati cannot support the 2 pro teams they have now. A winning baseball team and the stands are half empty game after game. A wining football team (as of late) and stadium does not sell out. What makes anyone think a MLS team would be supported? Personally i would love to see an MLS team here, but it will never happen.

Did your friend say when a rendering would be released? Do they have a completed rendering?

I love the P&G Courtyeard. How could you not like it?
  7. Born and raised in Cleveland, living in Cincinnati. I follow the Cleveland forums. The Cadillac Ranch in Cincinnati closed about 12 or 7 months ago. A few months before that I believe the FBI or some other agency closed down the Ranch for a day or 2 and took boxes of files out. Think they were getting into tax trouble and stopped paying the mortgage/rent. The place was packed on the weekends. I think it is a result of really bad management. Would not be surprised if the Cleveland local was is gone.
  8. Why not? There has to be somewhere that's kid-friendly. Otherwise downtown is going to be waving lots of dollars goodbye as they get back in their cars and go home after games (or don't come down early). Not everyone wants to stand in a crowd of drunk 20-somethings listening to dance music at Holy Grail or Toby Keith's. The new riverfront park has all these enticing, kid-friendly fountains to run through and play in but there's really nowhere for their parents to take them for lunch or dinner, unless you count the thoroughly underwhelming Johnny Rocket's. I agree.
  9. Take a Tour of Your New Smale Riverfront Park Not sure if anyone saw the new early summer update. They discuss future projects timeline at the end.
  10. They have been painting them for months now, a block at a time. I would assume they will all be painted eventually.
  11. Thanks for sharing with us. I have not seen an up-close rendering of the finished Banks project, so that was very interesting.
  12. Would love to have a view like that outside my office. Just amazing, looking out onto the water like that.
  13. ^ they aren't so bad after all!

Can someone please clarify this for me. The massing structures the city approved shows 2 buildings the office building and the residential building with a max height of about 10 stories each. Yet the enquirer reports the building will be 30 stories. Anyone have any insight on this? When can we except to see renderings?
  15. Same could be said about the streetcar...
  16. makes sense why there is no website or other information available.
  17. ^ Where can you get information about renting them?? Or see floor plans or a contact number? Anything?
  18. I wouldn't mind a Best Buy. There is no decent close place around the city to buy a TV.
  19. looks like they are making some good progress over there.
  20. They aren't adding any new floors, just updating the building. ahh.... i see. I guess a current photo of the building would be nice. I can't picture what it looks like at all. Basically what the "new" rendering looks like, but without the lighting effects.
  21. They aren't adding any new floors, just updating the building.
  22. Some more updates: First photo is the front of the building being renovated, 2nd is the foundations for town homes being build right off E. McMillan, the last 2 are buildings that may have announcements soon about renovations.
  23. check out the article on cincinnati.com they have a picture of it.
  24. This also shows a firm outside of cincy see's opportunity to invest millions into a building. Good sign for the CBD.
  25. I don't see a huge spillover like what is happening in downtown cleveland and their casino (because its in their CBD). But i do see increased activity downtown as whole. Where people will make a night of it. Go down and get dinner then go to the casino. But you may not notice a whole bunch of people walking around the immediate area of the casino.
