  1. Great shots! and amazing building.
  2. Oh well theres not shortage of traffic in the area. I can see it being pure girdlock Friday's during rush hour and Saturday during peak hours.
  3. really interested to see what they do with the traffic. If they don't do anything it will be a nightmare.
  4. Just to confirm. There was no damage to to the wall of the Firehoue. Looks like they are building a really nice parking lot.
  5. ^ just saw that, thanks. Should have known, this forum has a topic for everything.
  6. http://cincinnati.com/blogs/developingnow/2012/03/28/city-considers-eden-park-station-for-micro-brewery/ The city of Cincinnati is investigating whether a 118-year-old red brick pump station and water tower behind Krohn Conservatory could be sold and converted to a micro-brewery. this would be great!
  7. Today they were ripping out trees at fountain square next to the road. Not sure if they are replacing them or getting ready to build a street car stop? Anyone know anything about it?
  8. Every rehab developer in town should be reading your message. Between projects like this and the OTR renaissance, there's without question a robust market for "cool" housing for those wanting the excitement and experience of living in the urban core. I expect this strong housing demand to continue as more folks (especially those in the younger demographic) seek to live in an urban environment rather than the sprawling Suburbia of their parents. The back-to-the-cities movement is alive and well in Cincinnati. This was my thoughts excatly.
  9. Great shots, what are those units selling for?
  10. ^ very interesting thanks for the correct details!

http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20120319/BIZ/303190132/dunnhumby-incentive-plan-detailed?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE Some interesting information: States it will be a 36 Million dollar project. What does 36 Million buy these days?
  12. i drove by this weekend and didn't see any damage to the firehouse and the building was completely torn down. It may have been behind all of the rubble as it has not been cleaned up yet. Does anyone know what they plan to do with the land and the firehouse next to it?
  13. It's now surface parking which, given the quality of the single floor, glass walled, old mobile phone store design, is a definite improvement. ha.
  14. Do you know why it was torn down? Any plans for the site? my guess would be surface parking.... Hopefully some good comes out of the walnut hills demos and some other buildings are saved.
  15. Apparently the owners of the Chiquita building are being sued by one of the tenants over the new sign. I'm not sure of the details, but it was on the Cincinnati business journal.
  16. just a few weeks ago they tore down the old blues club that was downtown across from the old red cross building. also like 15 buildings in walnut hills in the past 3 months.
  17. Drove by yesterday and didn't see any evidence of the other building being damaged.
  18. I was hoping they were renovating that building, or both buildings. Why were they tearing down the building next to the old firehouse? and thats not good.
  19. Almost all constructions projects in ohio are ahead of schedule, due to the very mild winter.
  20. I agree. Maybe that plan on leasing the soon to be empty Chiquita floors with the selling point of having the new companies sign on the other side of the building. Another note. Construction on the First Financial Center sign is under way.
  21. Went to the lager house this weekend. Loved it. guy who worked there told me that they did $900k in sales the first week.
  22. ^ now thats a building.
  23. Nielson already has a sign up. Chiquita had what some 350 employees there? and Nielson has a reported 500? sounds like they would have enough.
  24. Thats pretty sad. Rock Bottom would be the last place i would go.
