I think this was a mistake. Dorsey was the best GM we have had in evaluating talent the new browns have ever had. His biggest mistake was kitchens.

Do the Haslems really have this much cash laying around? I'm not sure of their net worth, but they just spent $150m on the crew and are building a $200m stadium.

The county and the city just played nice at the banks. Maybe this was part of the negotiation.

My hope would be that because they are shutting down, they feel he county will close on the property and because the county is closing on property they are farther along in their planning then the public is aware. This whole thing seems to be moving very quickly compared to other projects. To shut down a hotel with 900 rooms the county must be pretty confident of their plans.

My guess is they figured lot owners would just raise prices to cover the tax.

Other then the non-stop flights we no longer get, is the region better off without delta? Now we have a few low cost carriers and amazon building their hub here.

They are investing quite a bit of money renovating 6 floors. Would seem like a waste if it was just temporary. I wonder if they are still planning to do there new headquarters.

From reading the article and listening to the podcast, it sounds like retail will wrap the entire first floor in retail and office space will be put in the 2nd and 3rd floors. Then at some point down the road a residential tower could be built on top. It is clear they are not tearing down the structure and rebuilding.

While not exciting, it's 2 less store fronts that need to be filled. There are lots of available in WH and these help fill some the voids.
